Today I'm going to teach one of my favorite things to do with a deck of cards. A Flourish called Under Pressure by Michael Vile, popularized by Dan and Dave Buck. It's a neat way of displaying a deck of playing cards which makes the cards whirl around in your hand. I'll also be teaching the pressure fan.

I like the fact that you mentioned plastic cards. It's been a year I'm using plastic cards they work just as good as any other cards (Except they don't fan). This trick made my cards smell a lot. Like brand new cards. Also, a few months back I tried this without knowing how to spring or thumb-fan properly. It was impossible and now I came back to it and got it in a few tries, so definite prerequisites those.

WooHoo! Tutorial!...Not actually why i'm commenting though. I keep a note in my phone of quotes that i find deep and meaningful and after watching this video have now added one from you. Toward the end of the video you said, "Use your cards, That's what they're there for." And you said pretty casually but something in the way it came off struck a chord. I was like that is so gd profound. In context it was like okay ya that make sense but it is also just such a great metaphor for life. More explicitly (from what I've gathered from following your VLOGs) that's how you seem to live your life. Before I comment: You should start doing tutorials again. I know all the reasons you stopped and can totally understand them, but man I miss them bad and I know I’m not alone. Even if there was no schedule to them they were just here and there when you happened upon an effect you thought would be good to share, or even if they were just randomly placed in vlogs. Anything! It’s like crack and I need my fix bad! This is such a great flourish. Thanks for the tutorial. I’ve seen it done before and have never sat down and tried it until now and I love how amazing it looks to the eye, yet it’s fairly easy and completely straight forward learn. Doing it while watching plus another 20 minutes and I’m able to do it. Not 100% perfect, but I can do it and getting the hang of things that fast is not common. Normally takes days or weeks. I went from not being able to do the pressure fan to shooting cards everywhere to over bending to being able to do it in 30 minutes. That’s awesome. Beautiful and easy. Then again, I should expect it from Chris Ramsay because he’s hands down the best teacher of sleight of hand on KZbin. Never stop KZbin, please. Thanks for the tutorial! Be kind people. Cheers ✌🏼🤙🏼
