Man, I do not comment often, but this is absolute gold! There is so much in this video! The move is sick, but the fact that you explain not only how to do it, but also how to use it is so useful. And the bigger picture at the end is the icing on the cake. I started magic last year while in my late thirties, I feel I have so much to learn and wish I had started earlier, and all your videos are so helpful. I am so grateful for all the content you put out there, so an enormous thank you!

Awesome tutorial! One thing that helped me as a very beginner: focus on the middle and ring finger while practising to pull down with the pinky...in my case these two fingers always wanted to be a part of the movement and really concentrating on them to stay away from the deck helped me Maybe I was able to help some of you, maybe not :D

What amazes me more about sleight of hand is that the sheer things you can do with a pack of cards with your hands. That concept coming from being a classical pianist. Artist and what not is that things you can do wit your hands is amazing. Some would say...magical

woah… I went from “this is impossible” and giving up after 5 minutes to coming back about a week later and watching again and messing around and within 10 minute I was spitting cards out and I just got one to actually fly off straight haha I’m not saying I can consistently do it like Big Al Pan himself but its enough to get me excited to keep practicing. Basically to learn something I have to be able to get a glimpse of progress and then I am absolutely hooked. so if you are like me just keep doing it, get the form and then try to flick the card out. I may have a little advantage because I practiced the back palm vanish compulsively for like a year and built up some weird strength in my hand I never had before. but this is absolutely possible and if you can’t do it you will be surprised how quickly you can build up strength in your hand. Last tip: try it with a half deck you might have a little more strength and control with a smaller stack

The one thing he’s not telling you is just how long this takes to master. No kidding. First you have to find just the right placement of the deck. It’s not exactly as he says. Second, it takes a while to get the hang of it. It takes much longer to be consistent enough to try it for specs. It takes even longer than that to catch it every time. BUT, it IS worth it. Once you see it shoot out of your own hands, like real magic, you’ll understand. Thanks for the tutorial.

One thing I found out whilst practicing this, which is briefly mentioned in the video but I didn't really catchup on it. The "throw" itself is coming from the release of pressure from your thumb, not the pinky, the pinky is only there to kind of pull it out. I was practicing it the wrong way at firs trying to push the card down really hard with the pinky, but there's actually not a lot of force required from the pinky itself.
