I find the lines "So can you forgive them, while knowing their sins or will you be led astray?" really interesting. I know this is just your interpretation and trying to fit the time block but it almost makes it seem like voting guilty is the _wrong_ course of action. It also seems like Jackalope is encouraging Es to vote guilty which makes you wonder about its motives. Makes me worry about my guy Futa who was voted guilty _anxiety intensifies_ Also one thing I found interesting is that in the background of the MV it flashes "guilty" and "innocent" in English but the Japanese seems to show "yurusu/forgiveness" and "yurusanai/no forgiveness". And never once in the song does it state "guilty" or "innocent" in both this version and the original. Also when in places like 0:46 it seems to flash the curled horn sheep symbols for when innocence is chosen, including on people now chosen as guilty. I'm not fluent in Japanese, but I'm pretty sure there are different words for "innocent" and "forgive" as well as "guilty" and "not forgive". I mean I thought of "Love Trial" by 40mp and the kanji there for guilty was totally different. Coincidence? I think NOT! Makes you wonder what the audience really voting on (I say the audience because I can't vote right now with no JP app store, no Line, and no Twitter). I mean as an example I think Futa is guilty in terms of choosing to kill someone but I still *forgive* him. But yeah awesome cover as always Will and thank you David for the awesome translyrics as always!
