Looked so 🥶🥶🥶. Notice you didn't ride through the middle of those ice covered puddles. I don't hesitate ,go straight in ,but last winter on a long off road ride half way across the ice broke and I fell in and got an ice bath. Never understood what people see in them. 🤣

Lol maybe in time I shall be less hesitant - I do that with regular non-frozen puddles too!

Ha... not being the purist that you are Richard, I prefer sweating out some 'garage miles' when it's like this. Virtual Grand Tour... unfortunately next stage is Mt Ventoux .... on a nice sunny day though 😓

You do feel so good when you get home though... and can eat everything in the house without feeling guilty😇😇😇

Never say never, maybe one I'll return to garage miles, but not just yet! As for eating everything when you get home... thats often a sign of eating enough during the ride. Had a similar experience a couple of weekends ago, but with liquids. I felt hungover all the next day and into Sunday - I simply had not drank enough. 2 1/2 bottles + cup of coffee and an orange juice is just not enough.

Great quality video....what do you use to cut the wind noise?
@BikepackingAdventures10 ай бұрын
Thanks Sven. I use a simple foam windslayer that wraps perfectly around the camera. It works wonders.

Well done! On such a cold day. Is it the DJI action 4 you have now?
@BikepackingAdventures10 ай бұрын
Hi Andy, yes thats the one. I bought it soon after release, massive upgrade from the GoPro 6 and 5 that I previously owned. Wish I upgraded much sooner as the quality and stabilisation is vastly superior.

@BikepackingAdventures I have the dji osmo action 1 found it very good. Reliable to. By the way the Waterrail is awful at the moment. Water's gone down, but now mud all over.
@BikepackingAdventures10 ай бұрын
@@andrewtownhill5838I haven't been any further than 5-mile bridge from Bardney yet as like you say it's a still a little muddy out there; can imagine it only gets a worse as the River narrows heading into the city.

Only bad clothing! The amount of times i have gone out without a packable jacket and regretted it. Keep attacking!
@BikepackingAdventures10 ай бұрын
Funny this is, in the last few rides I've taken plenty of clothing with me, more than enough and not worn it. And this ride when I needed it most, sat in the cupboard at home! I'll do it again for sure - just wait and see!

Cyclist are a bit like golfers and fishermen?…out in all weather.!!!
@BikepackingAdventures10 ай бұрын
Yeah I can understand golfers, at least they are walking about, keeping warm. If your fishing all you got is a warm clothing and a flask of coffee!
