I see you've experienced the true Dutch cycling experience on this trip! Regarding 10:25... always make sure to stop while the red signals are flashing. Railway cops take the red crossing lights very seriously, and it is not safe to cross until the lights are off.

@BikepackingAdventures tbh a quick look at the ride map shows a couple of easy get outs. I'm on 5AM starts this week which tends to be a bit knackering but we'll see. Have to get to bed earlier.

Enjoying the series. Sorry the weather turned so nasty in the week you were here. And especially the Northern provinces are not ideal when its so windy. Im impressed though that you're able to plan such nice routes in a place you're not familiar with. Must take some planning.

Great question - you're wish is granted. I did some filming today especially to answer your question. Stay tuned to the end of the series it'll be the very next video. And you won't have to wait an entire week for it!

Yes the autumn colours are beautiful, although it seems to come very late this year. You really did choose the windiest and wettest time of the year. Brave indeed.
@BikepackingAdventures8 күн бұрын
I don't really know what the weather was going to be like in the Autumn in the Netherlands. My assumption was it would be fairly benign and settled. I live in Lincolnshire just the other side of the North Sea and the weather is not a great deal different. I was just very unfortunate the this year, Autumn made itself well known! When I left to go on holiday it was warm and sunny, bit like late Summer - that soon changed!
