Thought I was on BBC2 for a moment, with the repeat of the heating pipe marking out! Lol. 😜. Thanks for the quality video though, really appreciate the content. Keep em coming please.

Proper job, our underfloor heating was never done right, leaked from a connection and split under the floor so now we're stuck with a radiator instead 🤬🤬 cowboy builders for you, need someone like you guys in our area

Hi A&E. love the videos as always. Just a quick question. On the video putting the pir insulation in the dormer walls, I noticed the depth was packed in from outside to inside full depth of joist. I though a gap had to be left for air flow? I always put pir insulation on the outer edge leaving a space to the outside wall. Thanks
@tentonhammer54693 жыл бұрын
As I understand it it's the same concept as a warm roof when you insulate it that way. I'm not 100% though

Can you put mesh in flow screed?
@abarbashir42363 жыл бұрын
Top notch job guys as usual. Quick q. What sort of flowing screed did you have poured? Didnt it/wont it need laitance removal before tiling??
@BuildWithAE3 жыл бұрын
Hi Abar all liquid screeds as far as I’am aware need laitance to be removed and yes it shows it in the video all the best Tony 👍

Great work as usual! You seem to run all pipework at high level in the ceilings and then drop down to the relevnt installation position. Just wondering if I see that right and why you do it that way? Perhaps its just the nature of a refurb job or is it to avoid having pipework underneath the screed where it would be inaccessable?
@BuildWithAE3 жыл бұрын
Hi Tiktok spot on always try and avoid putting additional pipes under screeds unless an island unit and then it’s always in the insulation line not screed all the best Tony 👍

@@BuildWithAEI like that arrangement. If there's a leak, much preferable to have to punch a hole in plasterboard than rip up an expensive floor and all that entails!

Great videos, can't wait to see the next one. Given that the floor area is quiet large and connected, do you need stress relieve areas?

I know it's too late for this one, but one the next project, please don't install any insulation below the flat plywood deck. The arrangement you have here is no longer a 'warm roof', but a 'hybrid' roof and there can be issues with condensation in this setup, so as tempting (and seemingly logical) as it may seem to add insulation into this void it should be kept clear.
