Underground Cable Laying?
This method requires digging a 1.5m deep and 0.45m wide trench which is then covered with a layer of sand. The cables are laid in the trench and covered with a 10 cm thick layer of sand. To protect against mechanical injury the trench is then covered with bricks and other materials.
INSTALLATION OF UNDERGROUND CABLES
Summary: This Standard details the minimum requirements acceptable for the installation of
new LV, 11kV, 20kV, 33kV, 66kV and 132kV cables, plus associated pilot and telephone cables.
 11kV = Tile tape (40m x 200mm x 2.5mm) - UKPN Stores Code = 04040C.
33kV = Stokbord®
(1000mm x 244mm x 9mm) - UKPN Stores Code = 04041M.

@5:11 the cable gripper looks like a "Chinese finger trap" - if the mesh gets pulled it will only tighten and keep holding
