Hey so @ 1:48, Underoath did a livestream where they explain, this was an idea they had for a song before Aaron left the band, and they eventually ended up using it as the outro of “Who Will Guard the Guardians?”. Crazy how the mystery is answered now haha

15 years later here I am still trying to figure out this song…only to realize I’m 4 years late to find out that it was just a concept all along..

So envious of these guys. How awesome must it be to travel the world doing what you love, with your best friends as bandmates to boot. And they're all amazing people. They deserve it. Everything, the fame, even just being in the band itself. If I had to pick one word, it would be "Inspirational".

Man that was so amazing to see the size of that circle pit and when the crowd was pumping their fists in the air, these guys are so amazing live and they only get better everytime i see them

@Ocelot911 actually there's many points in the video where the drums in the audio dont match what we see aaron playing, especially the cymbals. good example is at 5:16. he hits the crash in the video but we dont hear a crash.

for those of you wondering what the song is before desperate times, it was the outro to "Everyone Looks So Good From Here" before it became the last half of "Who Will Guard the Guardians".
@DylanHaas61015 жыл бұрын
@ksawaia i'm guessing they have different audio since the camera is filming really close, so the original audio is probably shaky, blurred, and fuzzy. They probably did it so people would have a good idea what it would sound in front of the stage because you can't get as good of a sound backstage on account of the sound systems, amps, PAs re facing forward. You will get a semi nice sound, but not the full effect.

These dudes saved my life. I dunno, they've been a huge part of my life for ten years, and I'm only twenty. They've been my rock when life gets shitty, and I wouldn't be here without them. Seeing them on their farewell tour in New York was the best day of my life, and it probably always will be.

I love how at 1:39 on they're playing parts of Who Will Guard the Guardians. So Disambiguation does have some of Aaron on it :)

He obviously wrote quite a bit for that record. Just listening to it you can tell.

@@111whitepony111 He didn't, they scrapped almost the entirety of what they were working on before he left.
@111whitepony1114 жыл бұрын
@@Mariooo57 OK well several of the drum parts are definitely from aaron. it's his exacty style of playing and is in drastic contrast to daniel's style. on top of that, on their twitch stream aaron mentioned he wrote for the record and worked on it for a little while before leaving.
@Mariooo574 жыл бұрын
@@111whitepony111 Oh I know, I got back to this video while watching the stream. It seems like his contributions were limited to a few parts here and there. It doesn't help that most of them struggled to remember how the songs originated lol
@pkdrummer9513 жыл бұрын
In the special edition DVD for disambiguation, they said that nearly all the demos were laid out and recorded (demos) before Aaron had left. They also tweeted a little bit before Aaron left that they had finished the record. Now I know that many things changed in the studio but all the MUSIC for the songs was laid out before Daniel came in. UO writes the music before any vocals are added. Obviously Daniel "re-did" the drum parts but Aaron is probably familiar with most songs off of Disambiguati
@JeserNoob Жыл бұрын
Wonder if that means that Daniel just did his own drum fills and kept the original intended rhythms for the songs for the most part

The part before Desperate Times is an extended outro to "Everyone Looks So Good From Here" The audio you hear is a recording off the mixing desk from the day before the show the video was recorded. The reason its in synch is because they play to a click because they have a pro-tools rig on stage. So the songs are played the same speed all the time.
@epetro1015 жыл бұрын
love the angle of the camera it gets the whole crowd and the drummer who never gets attention haha oh and i love how aaron can just WORK the drums and sing at the same time, hes so amazing
@sheldonlotter15 жыл бұрын
Also, theres no ways you would get audio quality like that from a camera mic. And secondly UO dont play with any monitors on stage cause they all use in-ear monitoring so all you would hear would be the raw drum sound and faint guitar from the stacks which are facing the crowd in front.
@Ocelot91114 жыл бұрын
@EldRumX dude i carefully watched it all, and everything matches, im not a fanboy or anything but they are really good live. Are you trying to say the drums sound too good to be true?
@hoppps274013 жыл бұрын
@robertneville777 It is that part :) I was so glad to hear that it made it's way into a song! I remember when they first started creating it...it was a couple years ago, and I was lucky enough to watch it evolve into an actual song! Aaron obviously played a part in the new album, because bands don't usually quit touring and then JUST begin writing...they write while they're on tour, all the time. So many drum parts carry over

Ahh, I see.... I don't really keep up with them on Facebook or Myspace or anything. The song itself doesn't sound whole to me and that's just way I was convinced that it was just some sort of intro lol. So, your page says you're from Australia? That's awesome... What time is it there?
@joejoefaqt14 жыл бұрын
the intro song is who will guard the guardians. they've been playing that jam for over a year now live only so its badass that they finally put it in the album.

@jonasharris07 Apparently they wrote "Who Will Guard the Guardians" sooner than we (or I) thought they did. They played this song in another one of their live performances too but I think it might've been the same tour.

@hotwheelz20072 you're probably right, but at 1:59 he hits the cymbal and it didn't make its sound, soo i'm just guessing it was from some other live show from the sound system since it sounds pretty good.

has anyone noticed that the live audio isnt from the live footage? they play to a click live so its almost impossible to notice but you can tell at 4:03 when aaron goes to hit the hihat and snare, its the snare and floor tom youre hearing. or at 1:58, aaron hits his crash farthest to the left and you hear just floor toms. good video though.

Have you ever tried it? It's pretty difficult to drum and keep your voice in tune. As a drummer, I feel both of them have a pretty unique style. Daniel likes to get a little technical and throw in some cool stuff, Aaron liked to just throw his heart into his playing, and he had some pretty cool fills.

@hiimjakebaker15 жыл бұрын
Hmm, well it's too hard to tell in you video lol. But even at the end of "Everyone Looks So Good From Here," right before the breakdown they play a little '"intro" that leads into the breakdown. I just really don't think they're writing new songs as of now, considering their cd just came out less than a year ago. I'm just not convinced it's a new song lol. If you want, I'll send you a link to a video where there's that little intro into that breakdown.
