Hey cgb, just wanted to say thanks for all the great content! I've watched all of your videos for more than a year, and you inspired me to get back into Magic myself. It's been a blast seeing you grow and provide us better and better content, getting to see those milestones like #1 mythic and the races for top 1200. I'm going away tomorrow so this is my last video for a long time, maybe ever, and it's also my last chance to say an enormous thank you. Keep up the great work for the dojo, and stay the one in best of one!

@CGB I wanted you to know that I stopped playing Arena and shut off all notifications from all Arena content creators....however, after a little while I realized that I missed your videos, so I turned your notifications back on. I like your fun and snarky attitude and watching you destroy pieces of Arena trash (e.g. kazu in this video), which are a big reason why I stopped playing Magic via this format. Thanks for the content you create every day.

First time commenter. Only recently got into watching KZbinrs play and so far you (CGB), MTGJeff and MonoBlackMagic are my favourites, great variety between the villainous salt-miner, wholesome family dude and lord of jank :D Btw, I love Ashiok too, they're a great planeswalker in all their forms. I don't know if it could be considered a 'wincon', but I particularly like the continuous value generation of Slitherwisp. Zareth San gets a mention as possibly one of the dirtiest finishers of all since you're playing it in Rogues which is already the dirtiest deck. On another note, I'd really like to see someone make a great Narfi deck. I loved him in Kaldheim Draft and thought he had a lot of potential, but maybe he doesn't have access to all that great support. A Dimir Draugr deck sounds cool though. Or maybe Sultai Snow? What do you think?
@olafthemoose94133 жыл бұрын
LVD did a dimir zombie/snow deck a while back on the CFB channel. It is not up to date with strixhaven but I doubt anything would change in that deck. Disclaimer: I do not think the deck is very good or any narfi deck is very good. He's just too slow for standard. In limited he's super bonkers though. Never had the pleasure to play him myself but I died to it a couple of times.

@@busTedOaS zareth San has literally nothing to do with green or sultai. And that golgari argument is entirely irrelevant because the only land he place that was a green was a CYCLE land. Which at his rank he should know is in the deck as a cycling dual land and nothing more.
@busTedOaS3 жыл бұрын
@@ryanbolson23 Sure, Zareth San isn't green but neither is this deck. I was simply listing decks that play the Triome. Clearly the opponent should have known better a few turns into the game.

@@busTedOaS I just don’t see why you’d even bring it up when the original comment is talking about his goof in calling emergent ult. Clearly he isn’t considering decks that run cycling lands because he named a card that has nothing to do with the deck.

This is better than the last iteration of dimir I played, it was kind of 1 year ago before war of the spark rotation, back in the day ashiok and lochmere serpent were the bombs and baby Ashiok was actually pretty good as well in the shell very strangely. It's pretty good in lots of matchups thanks to divide by 0(wich is extremly good in control decks btw) and all those 2cmc removal, so it's tempo, flex and absolutely not greedy.

@negativevariance13633 жыл бұрын
Given all the boros Winota, mono-white, and mono-red in the meta, I think replacing one or more of the Eliminates with Baleful Mastery is stronger. Being able to exile rather than destroy is huge against those decks. Not to mention it can remove big planeswalkers in slower matchups.

Whats the upside on Foretelling a Saw it coming? Doesn't make sense to me to pay more for the card just to play it from exile instead.
@olafthemoose94133 жыл бұрын
1) you protect it from handhate 2) you get to split the cost between 2 turns. For example on turn 2 you have nothing to do, so you just foretell it so you can cast it for only 2 mana later in the game. It can allow you to keep up a universal counterspell along something like an ashiok easier since you can foretell it on 1 turn and then on later turn cast your threat and keep up the countermagic
