Great list. I have a Casio Duro, Twin Sensor, and had a Gshock Square and CasiOak. Loved all of them. I sold the last two just because I didn’t like the buttons on the Gshock square and I didn’t like the color of the CasiOak I bought (grey), but I will buy another CasiOak in a different color. There are so many to choose from now!

I think the casio AQ230A7D and MQ-24D-7ECF are incredibly underrated. As much as watch enthusiasts love casio, I’ve never seen anyone mention either of these watches. I think the first one in particular is great because it balances dressy and casual at the same time, is incredibly thin, and includes a digital display to track a second time zone, so it really can do it all. The second has a beautiful silver sunburst dial and the movement is practically silent and always lines up with the markers, neither of which I can say for my $100 quartz tissot.

The only thing throwing me off timex’s fucking beautiful watches is the quartz. I have no inherent problem with it of course, but a watch is not something I NEED. I only buy them because I am interested in the mechanics, the visuals are a side thing, so to me buying a quartz watch is completely pointless. You could also argue the same for anyone who owns a big square pocket watch. Watches have no utility anymore to anyone who has a phone. So if one exists, it has to be either a fashion piece or a mechanical piece to have value in the modern world. But MAN some of those timexes are fucking beautiful I love their vintage style gmts.

Got the Timex MK1 chrono from tk max for about £35. Awful strap that got swapped out straight away. Love it

I got a Bulova 96B107 last year on sale for $89. I love it. It is a simple square dress watch, similar to a Cartier Tank, but not a direct copy. Classy, dressy, extremely thin. Not a great strap, but I can easily swap the strap. Retail on it is $225, but it is on Amazon now for $168, but keep an eye on it. You can catch it on sale like I did for under $100. It is VERY similar to their Frank Sinatra line and looks like something Sinatra would have actually worn. I wouldn’t spend $200 on it, but for $89… I couldn’t say no.

The Acadia Timex watches, imagine if they had a matching backlight feature that correlates with the colour of the lens & or dial The California Dials collection from Timex had matching illumination lights, for example the watch with the pink lens would have a matching pink illumination light.
