When I was a kid, my dad had an under the house scare. He had gone under the house to add an electrical outlet my mom wanted in the dining room, and was in the narrow crawl space. He was a good do-it-yer-selfer, and was carefully putting in a junction box, feeding a line up into the wall, and all that. The neighbor's friendly cat must have seen him go in the hatch and followed him in. While my dad was quietly working, the cat rubs up all along his leg. My dad screamed like I never heard before, and I thought he was coming up right through the floor. Poor cat ran home scared.

I love it when people come into my house during the month of October just to see their faces 😂. Last year a scentsy sales lady came in to deliver my order and looked like she was going to have a heart attack. Why? Because there was a nearly nine foot tall headless horseman animatronic just inside the door, waiting to be taken out to the lawn. She literally jumped back, it was so funny 😂. Our place is a horror show starting the end of September on to Halloween night. You never know what you are going to run into around here. And RIP to the poor soul who tries to rob our garage. If that happens, the person is just going to turn around and walk back out the door saying “nope. Nope, nope-house of horrors in there, NO WAY.” And go find an easier mark 😂

As a former guinea pig owner who at one point had FIVE piggies they're not gross per se but they do get smelly. ONE guinea pig can get very smelly very quickly (I know you're supposed to keep them in pairs at the very least but that one piggy was elderly (5 years) when her cage-mate passed and we weren't planning on getting any more). I would change the bedding in the solo piggy's cage every two to four weeks depending on the time of year otherwise she would stink up the entire house worse than our cats' litter boxes would.
@MarrisaPlays Жыл бұрын
so as an owner of currently 9 guinea pigs and previously up to 14 at one time yes guinea pigs are rouch to clean in larger herds depending on your physical and medical health the big issue with as many as i hold and more is veggie bills hay bills and the absolute monstrosity that is exotic vet bills because guinea pigs are VERY prone to medical issues that need almost always emergency visits because once they start showing signs of an illness it has most likely progressed to a "you have a few days to live" phase. its the most heartbreaking part of guinea pig enthusiest like me aaand also rescures because far to many families think guinea pigs can be not just solo but in those tiny store cages and are considered by the uninformed as "starter pets" THEY ARE NOT STARTER PETS PEOPLE!!!!!
@BerryJackalope Жыл бұрын
Yeah, my poor piggy passed away a couple weeks ago due to kidney stones. No vets in my area could do emergency visits for her, so we had to wait on an appointment which was three weeks out. It was awful. Her name was G. P. P. Stood for Guinea Pig Princess.
@MarrisaPlays Жыл бұрын
@@BerryJackalope yeah stones are probably the number one medical diagnosis a piggie will get because the amounts of minerals in our water can sometimes be crazy high. I have had to remove many stones myself it took several visits about the stones before i felt i had enough skill to do it myself. ofcourse that only works if the piggie has already done the hard part and pushed the stone threw the uritra at that point it is possible (sometimes with a little blood and several screams of annoyance/pain) to work it down to the end manually. i dont suggest someone trying that unless they dont freak out when a piggie cries.

I was gonna say they're less dangerous than most people think (usually only deadly to young and elderly) but if they're babies, yeah. Definitely extremely lucky to be alive

I'm not sure the story is even real. It's just completely over the top.
@Ambipie Жыл бұрын
Black widows are very shy and, while their venom causes a huge welt, you usually have to bully sand spiders like black widows to get bitten. They use their venom to paralyze their prey and predators alike and would prefer to escape a situation where they're not gonna get eaten
@CaptainSpycrab Жыл бұрын
There are three recorded cases of death by widow spider venom. One in Greece and two in Madagascar. None in the USA. Don't get me wrong, widow spider bites are agonizingly painful, but the risk of death is so low that the antivenom is not usually administered except in the very worst cases, since it risks side effects that can be worse than the venom.

My husband worked HVAC for 21 years. One day right after we were married my husband was going to a house to fix something. He gets there and knocks on the door. A woman answered the door naked except a g-string. He said "Excuse me for a moment" He turned around and we back to his truck and called the boss. He and his boss were the only2 that worked for the company. So he talked to his boss and D - the boss - Told him to sit in his truck until he got there. D showed up about 10 min later and he then knocked on the door. The woman answered although she was dressed it was scantily. D asked the woman to tell her husband when he gets home from work and they would stop by then.

I know people think plastic tubes for pet rodents is cute & gives the pet a more “natural” space, but that’s really not true. There is no ventilation in those things whatsoever, and as stated in the video they do not get properly cleaned. Even if you try, animals scratch plastic up & bacteria gets in there- plastic food bowls can give your pet acne too. Set up a playpen, or better yet an outdoor enclosure so rabbits & guinea pigs can graze! Easier, cheaper & cleaner!

Not my story, but my buddy Steve... when we were 12 years old, we were playing in the street (typical suburban neighborhood) and heard "Help!, Help! Help!" coming from one of the houses. We're near Steve's house and his mom is home, so he decides I should go to his house and get his mom, while he goes to check it out. Ok. I run off to get his mom. He apparently enters the house and finds a woman who is morbidly obese. I never entered, so this is my recollection of his description. She was easily over 500lbs, and sitting in a chair, completely nude, and smelling like a porta-potty. He said he didn't "see anything" because it was just so much fat you couldn't tell what was what. She was unable to get up. Her husband had evidently been taking care of her for years, and she never left the house, or seemingly the chair. But the husband had gone out for groceries 3 days ago and never came back. She couldn't make it to the phone to call for help, and nobody came by to check on her. When Steve's Mom got there, she went in, immediately pushed Steve back out the front door and then began tossing around junk in the house looking for the woman's phone that was buried under piles of trash. She called 911, and fire trucks and ambulances came, but she got us both out of there as soon as they pulled up. But apparently EMTs and Fire fighters literally had to remove the entire front door to get her out. Like frame and all, not just the door, they made a bigger opening that was covered in plastic the next day. We never did learn what happened to the woman or her husband, but the house was gutted, with three huge dumpsters on the front lawn for a month, and sat on the market for 2 years before someone else bought it after that.

I did a delivery once to a house of an elderly couple. They had your standard hoarder paths through the living room but every surface in their kitchen was COVERED in unrefrigerated jars of pickled food. It was the worst thing I've ever smelled. Imagine if the entire exotic foods aisle of a grocery store went rancid and sat there for a month. They both had varying levels of dementia - the husband didn't look up from his computer solitaire at all and I'm not sure he knew I was there. The wife fell asleep sitting up as I was bringing the deliveries into the house and when I gently woke her once I was done, she wasn't sure who I was and couldn't understand that the delivery was finished. I had a fabric covid mask on at the time, was in the house less than 10 mins, and when I left the smell was stuck so bad in my mask and clothing that I had to strip off as much as I could legally get away with for the rest of the work day. I called the county protective adult services to see if they could wellness check or something, but it didn't sound like they were going to do anything.

Obligatory not a plumber but, worked at a customers house for a fire mitigation and restoration. Was going through inventory of items to be disposed of and came across of a box with adult fun items. Had your usual condoms and stuff but also had padded restraints. Nobody I worked with could figure out what they could possibly be for, I just quietly set them to the side and said that these are for the homeowners to inventory. Two things, don't try to keep plastic or silicone items after a fire, and always practice discretion. Homeowners knew we found that box, but I said nothing beyond my general warning that all plastic based items need to be disposed of after a fire because they absorb the soot and smoke particles.

So this was a plumber’s mistake but during a home remodel the plumber messed up in my sister’s house with the downstairs toilet so it required poop to go uphill. My BIL and his friend spent several days fixing it but OUCH paying all that money, starting on the next bathroom(down to one toilet), and finding out the one the paid to replace fully was much worse off than before. The house was over 100 yrs old but the plumbing was easy to get to for this toilet and should have never been messed up like that.

7:17. So you took up the T&G of the main or upper floor and between the joists found that? House up for sale- I assume it had nothing to do with the home owners other than spooked tf out of the outcome as most home owners would pay a contractor to reno and or paid the GC to build the new home from the get go. When they say had to rip up the subfloor from water damage however, working within the trade for 20 years I suspect basement. Which at best for subfloor, would be Dricore these days. *cough* how? Dehums & fans wouldn't solve it? Super unlikely. About your adjuster - What's their name? Asking for a 'friend' that wants to make a ton more on insurance jobs btw :D.
@OverwatchSIX Жыл бұрын
And for OP that doesn't know. If you ever looked at a basement floor- it's suppose to be concrete but who tf knows where the writers from, that is out of the question. If the basement is UNFINISHED, you will have what is called bridging between joists. Basically cross hatch or "X" 2x2 pieces of wood betwen joists to prevent twisting. Subfloor above the joists for the 'main floor' That leaves us with the upper floor.... Main floor would obviously - or should have - a drywall ceiling - Thus if they found this in the upper floor, it was due to a upper floor washroom/on -suite flood or roof leak. OR a finished basement, they found it from the main floor going down to basement ceiling, which in turn had a drywall ceiling or suspended. Intersting to say the least. I'd like to know more details. Or if they have pictures of the job they found this in - especially if the homeowner was guilty for it. Was it hardwood? I suspect randomly H patterned all of a sudden in that area? (LUL) if you know you know - sorry to all the DIY homeowners out there - , or??

No they get regular children too. My husband is one of those strapping big shouldered tall dudes that can lift a woman with one arm like it’s nothing. He was a sturdy healthy active kid. Except that one time when a black widow crawled into his bed in Arizona and bit him twice on the neck while he was sleeping. He spent the next two weeks in the hospital on a morphine drip and they photographed his neck for a medical journal.
@farmer_joe_ Жыл бұрын
@macylouwho1187 any animal bite on the neck will cause complications, if it's as deadly as you think then your husband wouldn't be alive unless he literally lived inside a hospital. Spiders eat dirty animals like Flys which eat rotting meat and feces, he probably got an infection from the bites. Spiders also would never try to hunt a large animal they often dry bite even In self defense cus being without venom means there's no way for the animal to eat ever again.
