X=0 => y=b => First point A(0,b). b is the point where our line crosses Y axis. M is always equals to tan[tg] of angle between X axis and our line - eg. y=1x, tg 45°= 1. Second point on OX: B(x,0) is set by y=0 and we can now draw a line throught 2 points on the graph. If m0 we go up the hill. M=0 and our slope is zero => a straight line y=b, because mx=0 then.

why do you need math for programming?
@Xaminn6 жыл бұрын
Shadow Zaron for me, it seems math has helped me understand programming at a deeper level. It gives you understanding on HOW and WHEN to use what tool. Imagine you’re building a hotel and you only have a hammer. If you only have a hammer, everything looks like a nail.
@Zaron_Gaming6 жыл бұрын
@@Xaminn well now that's interesting. Good analogy. Never much considered that though it makes perfect sense
@Xaminn6 жыл бұрын
Hey Shadow, thank you for the kind remark. One of my friends recently gave a better example than what I previously provided: Learning math is like buying power tools. At the time you might have no idea what to use those tools for, or what they could wind up building. But you can definitely have more power and solve more problems with those tools than without them. If you look deep enough, everything is numbers. Every single thing you experience or perceive can be modeled or explained by math in some way. Why do you need math for programming? You're trying to model the world somehow, and that ultimately boils down to numbers and their manipulation. Hope this helps on your journey!

It is simple. Not just having a teaching title means you are ‘entitled’ to teach. The majority of our teachers are great on their subject matter, but when it comes to take all that knowledge and transmit it to others, they become as worthless as a high-end computer in the middle of a desert. Your students must be very proud to have you as their teacher.
@ageorgievska4 жыл бұрын
Great video!! one question I hope you will answer: How do you interpret the slope for y = -3x + 5 ? Isn't it true that -3/1 and 3/-1 would both result in a -3? I'm guessing the equation would specify if the 3 was over a -1, otherwise you are to assume the negative sign is designated to the 3 and not the 1. Thank you again!!!
@martincollins66322 жыл бұрын
Rather than thinking of the negative sign being attached to the numerator or denominator, think of it as being attached to the entire fraction. -(3/1). Then his instructions work just fine. Then are several other ways to think about it as well.
