Im 43 yo just been diagnosed with AML for about 2 months now and already gone thru 1 cycle of chemotherapy (Daunorubicin + Cytarabin). I felt better and alive now with my appetite going up and been eating non stop. I just hope and pray all that suffering AML like me right now have faith and hope that we all will overcome this illness soon. Amin.

How are you my 28year only son died due to lukemia aml Chemotherepy 2nd cycle we lost our son after diognose only two months he alive before that he was very healthy no any bad habits how he got this bad things happened to good people only

@@ushaanand2450 I just finished my 2nd cycle of chemo. The drug indeed much stronger than the 1st cycle, took me 2 weeks for my blood count to recover. Im getting my energy back day by day now. Sorry for your losses, he is in a better place in heaven now. May i know the cause of your son death? Is it Infection? My personal experience with AML, i think it can go for good to worse in just matter of days only and vice versa also. Just need to be careful and follow all the doctor's instruction to avoid infection.

@@yan2503 you are correct what you mention same drug same treatment first cycle more than one month in hospital due to infection result was very good 0 cancer cells 2nd cycle drugs also multiple he was very weak after 3days chemo wbc very low more infection heput on icu then nevercame out alive it's all our destiny he was very intiligent rank student software engineer . Iam very much god believer after my son's death my all hopes are gone we are from India me and my husband are very muchdeprrission past one year

@@ushaanand2450 Its all God's doing. Keep on the faith and believe that he has better plans for us ok. I was quite shocked at first when diagnosed as i thought it was other illness but the doctors and nurses took really good care of me in the hospital to avoid any infection. Now im back at home i have to really take care of myself, watch what i eat and do. One thing that saddens me is now i cant do any activities like i used to do before my illness.

@@yan2503 ya we are also not belive our son had this he was very fit and healthy past two years work from home so hehad not properly time to eat work pressure litle bit he had fever andtiredness then he diognose he very postive I will win this I will come back doctors are good but after chemo he had high fever whatevre antibiotics thare they have given but his BP low oxigen level low within hours we lost our only child

My wife and I lost our just turned 2 year old son 7 months ago to Aml. He had MLL gene rearrangement or subtype KMT2A or 11q23. He had a translocation between chromosomes 6 and 11, t(6;11). He received cytarabine, daunorubicin, etoposide, gemtuzumab ozagamicin then mitoxNtrone and cytarabine. He relapsed after the second chemo which signified refractory Aml which had a poor prognosis. Decitabine with mylotarg was then used. He died shortly after from within 4 months of treatment. Some side effects he had were bloody nausea and diahrea. Horrible bloody mouth sores. He was in pain all over. His right eye was covered by a leukemia pool that ended up bleeding.He had a lot of liquid in his lungs which they thought was pnemonia. He ultimately died from a brain bleed within 24 hours caused we think by the chemo.

I’m sorry to hear this.. I’m currently hoping and praying my nephew doesn’t have this he is 6. He randomly started feeling ill and we took him to the hospital he was transferred to st Jude for more testing, doctors said it was Leaning in that direction hoping it’s not but my whole family is on the edge. 😔
