Was diagnosed with this a couple of years back when I was 14, doctors thought I had lymphoma originally and I went jaundiced. Just happy it wasn’t as bad as the doctors at the royal children’s hospital in Melbourne thought. After about 3 days in the hospital I had a pet scan and the doctors were shocked as there was nothing popping up with cancer and 2 days later I was let out of the hospital with all the doctors scratching there heads as they all were sure it was lymphoma. a couple months down the track I have a liver biopsy and within a couple weeks they had the diagnosis of autoimmune hepatitis. Ended up having to go on 100mg of prednisolone and gradually coming down in doses which was very challenging in the changes to my body as I’m sure you know of the side effects of this horrible drug. But yeah this disease is a strange one like personally I’ve never felt 1 bit of pain from it in my liver or anything it’s really quite unusual!

Doc, I have dry skin and dry mouth and sensitive skin. When I get wet in the rain, I get red and itchy, but it goes away. I still have it and if someone touches me, I immediately get red and itchy. What do you think, doc, is my disease??
