You are my new hero. You actually explained this in a way I could finally--in my gut--understand. For the love of God, why don't so many teachers get it? When you teach someone you have to teach them from THEIR perspective not YOURS! Apparently that's the absolute hardest and rarest thing in the world to do. A great teacher has to, in a manner of speaking, "forget what they know while at the same time knowing what they know." Because guess what...the people you're teaching don't know! So many of these DAW/Producing related tutorials are maddening beyond belief. (Not to mention that many of them fly around at a hundred miles an hour forcing you to pause the video a thousand times before you want to slice your fricken wrists.) Teachers...you have to create a picture in the students mind! You have to use analogies! Don't tell me...SHOW ME! Let me say that again...Don't tell me...SHOW ME! Thank you again Devvon, I will paint your house, wash your car, give you all the money I make for the rest of my life, and follow you into the bowels of hell! lol...

The moment you showed the live test it all clicked. I’m in the process of getting back into music and recording and years ago I never really played around with (or understood) bus, sends and aux. This was the very first video I clicked on on how they work and everything makes sense now. Being able to use this, especially in regards to orchestral, instrumental, and symphonic metal is going to be a game changer for me. So first off amazing video. Second off, and more importantly, thank you so much!
