Wasn't the valve red brass being 80% copper? I thought yellow is 60%-70%

How do you grade copper shavings from a machine shop cnc mill? both clean and (dirty with either coolant or machining sludge in it)
@iScrapApp2 ай бұрын
Clean will likely go as a clean turning price - similar to a #3 copper price. For the dirty turnings, expect something closer to an insulated wire price: iscrapapp.com/metals/copper-turnings/

What is your opinion on entry-level copper wire Granulator separators and what grade and price does the granulated copper go for?
@iScrapApp2 ай бұрын
granulated copper will be a similar price to turnings at most yards: iscrapapp.com/metals/copper-turnings/ As far as a machine, generally the lower end ones (in our experience aren't great. You generally need a higher end machine, that have better sorting mechanisms, but the cost is generally out of range of any hobbyist or individual scrapper

Without an XRF, we recommend an angle grinder to try and see the bare betal after scuffing it up a bit.
