She said the max bit-rate is 250 Mbps, but even at that rate, what's the difference in the compressed file vs the uncompressed image? How much information is lost? Also, has JPEG2000 compression improved over the years? Would a DCP be used for a Blu-ray or a 4K?

Does anyone know what video export settings I should export for a DCP file? I will be using Omatic then testing at theater. I had used apple probes 422 and I had cropping issues at theater, so I am redoing it in final cut pro x.

Where is this person from? 3:00 ($150 to $650) Back in 2013 a DCP cost around $5000 for a feature. Even today 2020 its around $2500 and bootleg/backdoor a $1000

@@mandeepkalsi9119 Well, it's made by people besides rip of artists like the big labs and the like. Yes, google Cheap DCP and you will find people that make them for under a $1000. It's a glorified file folks, nothing more.

Slow the video to 75% and listen REALLY carefully to what the nice lady is saying. Still don't understand? Go back and listen to it again at 1/2 speed. Still don't understand? Go get your forklift licence and apply at an Amazon distribution center.

Wow, is this really necessary? [I’ll give you that you’re kinda humorous ] but seems unnecessarily “dick-ish” too. I agree she seems fairly thorough and 2013 was a long time ago as well. So I’m wondering if anything has changed? I’m thankful for the info yet, from experience [in the very early film to DVD days] I was surprised by a multitude of little [but significant] issues that arose and became huge issues that required me to re-do stuff... I’m wondering what I will bump into with my first feature film we intend to show at a local theater... I can’t afford to get it wrong, [my client won’t understand if I get it wrong...] yet [again I understand it’s probable] I will find one or two items that are unexpected and unacceptable. So I’m hoping I can get the theater to let me test my files, before “P-Day” 😂

You can easily shoot with 70d and create DCP on your own. when you start the shootings, mind the Color Grading and Sound Design, Use some flat presets on your camera (like technicolor cinestyle) and shoot audio with a professional sound guy. (boom and wireless mics) edit, watch and export with any dcp plugin (if you have premiere CC you already have Wraptor DCP)
