Cool tip at the end about looking for shots where the squirt and swerve cancel out

i only play about once a week, sometimes it’s every two weeks. is there a shot, or series of shots, you recommend to warm up easier? i usually will go for an afternoon and then by the time i leave im zero’d in on my aiming (or i hope to be). so if there were a way to speed up that process that would be helpful. right now im just shooting 15 balls down the rail/straight shots when i get in and then going right into playing
@SlateBilliardClub

With playing that infrequently I think just hitting a series of 5-10 shots that are relativity easy, but help you feel relaxed and accurate as possible would be 👍 If you are playing for the afternoon, maybe just do this for 20-30 minutes and then go have fun🤗

Nice explainations, but i Missed the third variable what is called throw. What means, that the Cueball givs up his rotation and transfer it to the object ball. Depends also what speed you are playin.

How far the balls are and how much spin you use is allso a big factor

Great content, but you start to talk about deflection without mentioning the aiming without any english. If you aim for the tees, how you recognise the angle in first place? Now it looks like you just compensate stright shot for the ue deflection when OB travells off the straight line being shot into shifted contact point.

Serious question: do u parallel shift the cue stick when using English or pivot the cue?
@724riff
@724riff Ай бұрын
I think your referring to forehand English ie moving your bridgehand a tip or 2 left or right .
@jrw0707
@jrw0707 Ай бұрын
Parallel shift the cue. There is another method of pivoting the cue, it’s called “back hand English”. No pros use that, or very few…

@stephenpaul2777 Ай бұрын
@@jrw0707 makes sense the pivot system doesn't work because how hard you shoot and your bridge length changes the amount of deflection, but with parallel shift system all you have to do is calculate based on equipment, speed, and distance from the cue ball which is quantifiable with trial and error and reps.

I am new to the game of pool. What do you mean by inside and outside spin?
@kriswood1354

I've been playing for 10 years and have no clue either
@danender5555
@danender5555 Ай бұрын
Spin or English or “side” refers to sidespin applied to the cue ball (CB) by hitting left or right of the cue-ball vertical centerline. Inside and outside spin are relative to the cut. If you cut the object ball to left, then left english is outside spin and right english is inside spin. If you cut the object ball to right, then left english is inside spin and right english is outside spin.

So fun fact if you hit it at a medium speed let's say about 3 ft not where you're hitting it put around 2 to 3 ft then it doesn't matter what cues you use you can basically aim straight at the contact point butt after you move back pass that 3 ft speed matters and and the dude that has hair we can match up any day because I want to test his theory about his cues saying that carbon fiber don't matter 😂

You must play on a bar box with 5” pockets. This is a big boy 9ft table with 4.25” pockets. If you think you don’t need to adjust for close distance spin shots, you know nothing!

I need to know one thing why do pool players wear Black ?
@slownine
@slownine Ай бұрын
That's just my opinion, there is no fixed dress code that prescribes the wearing of dark clothing. (unless there is a tournament dress code!) Players prefer to wear dark clothing to avoid distractions and to have a clear view of the table. The color of clothing does not directly affect the game, but it can affect the concentration and visibility of players and spectators if everything becomes too colorful. Otherwise, simply observe the dress code for the respective competition. Even in tutorials, it can be more pleasant for spectators if the color of the players' clothing is neutral at the table, which depending on the room and light, does not always have to be a very dark color. Personally, I like to wear black pants and shoes for pool billiards and preferably a plain dark sports polo shirt or something similar with a club emblem's. Fun fact: you can wear more club or advertising emblems on darker clothing ;)

There is no way on gods greeen esrth anyone is going to trust all thoose variables and unknowns that will constantly change with equipment and climate etc even cueball itself . I mean thats just to many variables and then still concentrate on eveeything forward of the object ball etc , kudos to him and a good fargo but all this gear effect has ruined the game imo
