It’s hard. I have tried everything to change things, but over more than 10 years of no change and nothing nice happening, my Soul is tired. Sometimes Life just blocks you and nothing works. And pls don’t tell me there is always a way. Sometimes there is no way. Sometimes life can go on for many many years where things are blocked for you no matter how hard you try, or hope or think positively. And sometimes due to prolong suffering, human spirit breaks. And apathy becomes your everyday feeling. Because once you have been deprived for so long, you are disconnected from Life. So often time apathy is a result of prolong suffering, and prolong stuck in a rut condition. And then your whole life force has been depleted.
@aprestoargentino56953 жыл бұрын
I feel the exact same way as you do. Even though I do have some proyects and aspirations, I struggle to move forward because I have no hope in the future and most of my life I never had a path. 30 years old and I have to START OVER. I'm just so sick of it. The only thing I found out to alliviate apathy is to put myself in unconfortable, risky situations. Last time I did a 50km walk in the desert. Physical exhaustion and pain are the closest to having a feeling, and the urgency of survival diminishes my anxiety. Maybe you need to do something like this periodically to reset yourself. I did it 3 months ago and I seriously need to do it again.

And then when you are on the edge, facing real physical and emotional struggle, you kind of realise how even small little things were / are worth it in life, and how precious they are. It’s just that I wanted certain things that didn’t happen and I felt stuck for very long time. @@jennifera777 Aww Jennifer, just saw this. I hope things get better for you. I will pray for you- my confusion is low and i am more hopeful n joyful now. I switched to Islam after having been in Church for years- i found many answers that are complete instead of confusion i found in church answers ( like God doesn’t reject or leave but i found the meaning of trials, the meaning of his presence, our practical purpose in life). Finding one or two likeminded people that uplift you will help you. Meditating, nature, genuine community in the mosque, the 5 time prayers give so much life to me now. On top of that I get to keep Jesus as my beloved role model and God’s messenger. My intellect n heart couldn’t live with church brainwashing n i am happy n content now. Lack of purpose. But how to find it?
@DocSnipes Жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for watching my video on Understanding Depression Symptoms - Apathy and Lack of Motivation. It means a lot that you took the time to engage with the content and share your feelings. Feeling a lack of purpose can be a challenging and difficult experience, but it's important to know that you're not alone in this journey. Many people go through periods of uncertainty and questioning their purpose. It's natural and part of the process of personal growth. Finding your purpose is a unique and introspective journey that can take time and self-reflection. I want to offer some guidance to help you explore and discover your sense of purpose: Self-Reflection: Take some time to reflect on your interests, passions, and what truly brings you joy and fulfillment. Consider what activities or goals make you feel alive and engaged. Identify Values: Think about your core values and what matters most to you. Aligning your actions and goals with your values can give a sense of purpose and fulfillment. Explore New Hobbies and Activities: Don't be afraid to try new things. Sometimes, purpose can emerge from exploring unfamiliar territories and discovering hidden talents. Helping Others: Engaging in acts of kindness and volunteering can provide a sense of purpose. Helping others often leads to a deeper connection with the world around us. Set Achievable Goals: Start by setting small, achievable goals. Each accomplishment, no matter how small, can give you a sense of direction and accomplishment. Seek Support: Don't hesitate to seek support from friends, family, or even a professional counselor or therapist. They can provide valuable insights and encouragement during your journey. Be Patient with Yourself: Remember that finding purpose is not an overnight process. Be patient and compassionate with yourself as you explore and discover what brings meaning to your life. Avoid Comparison: Avoid comparing your journey to others. Everyone's path is unique, and what brings fulfillment to one person may not be the same for another. Embrace Curiosity: Be open to trying new things and learning from different experiences. Curiosity can lead to unexpected opportunities and revelations. Celebrate your progress, no matter how small, and focus on the positive aspects of your life. Optimism and a positive mindset can make a significant difference. Remember, finding purpose is a personal journey, and it's okay to take the time you need to explore and discover what brings meaning to your life. You deserve to live a life with purpose and fulfillment.

I know exactly why I’m barely motivated to “mop the floors,” so to speak. Or any other cleanup in the house (eg hair everywhere). It’s because we have a large dog who messes it up again immediately. So the reward is very short-lived. Eventually I say, why bother? How does one deal with this?
@DocSnipesАй бұрын
Thank you for sharing that! It’s completely understandable why you’d feel discouraged about cleaning when it feels like your hard work gets undone so quickly. When the reward is so short-lived, it’s easy to fall into the “why bother?” mindset, and that can definitely contribute to feeling unmotivated. Have you found any strategies that help balance out the frustration or make the process feel more manageable? I see many people give reasons to quit porn so that I have better sex and intimacy (and that seems weak reasons-I was expecting better ones in terms of what I will get with real women if quit-i cant imagine value in it) BUT what do I do about my lack of motivation to meet women cause it seems like why do it since I got porn? Even thought porn is causing many problems and its horrible I still dont see HOW women will replace that.... I know it has to do with porn warping my view of women and the world BUT is it the case that its maybe Depleting my "natural" motivation "power" and because of it I dont get that drive and ability to see intimacy and sex and women motivating enough at the moment? ( I used to years ago)

Your Creator loves you and wants an intimate relationship with you. He has also provided the solution to the one thing that keeps you from having it.
