I don't know if I've talked about it on this channel before, but I live in southern Utah and last year we had a really bad wildfire, someone was flying a drone close to the fire (I assume to film it) and this prevented the fire fighting planes and choppers from actually fighting the fire. When I purchased my drone last year, I was looking for a few things: I want a cheep drone, with an alright camera (not great), something that I won't be to sad about it braking, and an alright battery. And I found it. And it is pretty good. And it is the STEALTH AV-DRC01. It was made and distributed by Merkury Innovations. And they have a fantastic customers service number. The people are nice. And no matter where you purchased your done, your drone comes with a One Year warranty. If you don't have your receipt, just make sure you still have your box. Again. Great drone. 10,000/10

@8:00 AMA =/= American Modeling Association... you literally missed it on 2.5/3 words there... AMA = Academy of Model Aviation, and they/FAA say that in order to fly at night you have to have strobes visible from 5 miles out, if I'm not mistaken. The green and red lights found on most commercially available drones are not even close to that powerful.

Drone flier here, if you want a good affordable drone with powerful motors and 15min flight time per battery, check the MJX Bugs 3 for $80 on amazon. It doesn't have a camera, altitude hold or GPS, it's completely manual, but drone flying is more fun that way.

I think you're talking about the lemon orchard guy. Here's the story: The dude was trying to drum up publicity for his kickstarter campaign to start a lemon orchard. He shot down a cheap, disposable drone--probably his own cheap, disposable drone--and then claimed on the news that he was being harassed because of an eye-sore sign on his property advertising his campaign, which he made sure was prominently shown in the news story about the incident. IDubbbz covered it in his old "Kickstarter Crap" series.
@themoelman6 жыл бұрын
I'll read the link about shooting them down, but for the record .... shotgun bird shot does not have much velocity on the way down and if someone is peeping-tom in my upstairs window, they can expect some sort of retaliation. I wonder if throwing rocks is allowed - slingshot? The cameras on some of these have to be a privacy violation even if not on your land...
