I haven't studied this lesson yet but boy did I advance with learning about colors from your other videos. Thank you so much!! I was ready to throw in the towel because I just wanted to immerse myself in color. I gained confidence following your wonderful advice on seeing how many colors I could make from three of my choosing. It's a whole new World today and I can't wait to start again tomorrow. You are a gift to us. I just love ya.

Hi Gwen, A few months ago I took a weeks lesson from you in your studio. It was very enlightening. If you rememberer me you know I was the worst student in your class. Not a big surprise I'm the worst student in every class I attend. However, Your class was amazing ! And I learned so much even though you probably couldn't tell. And I'm so glad you are doing this online tutorial. I think at this point I have been completely in the dark about shapes.I know I've tried working with many colors in different shapes but nothing I do makes any sense. So thank you. I will be happy to keep watching.

Hi, your videos are really wonderful, little nuggets here and there, I am still confused about shapes. Mainly, I get that the shapes should all be abstract, Yet, how do you figure out the shape, before you paint as in the value sketch? Or do you put the shapes down and then adjust? You can put a group of different shapes down yet that might not bring the painting together. maybe you could make another video and carry this idea a bit further. After painting since 1962 I am still trying to understand things! I do want to say thank you because I never heard the idea of leaving the eye a way out so I did learn that!

Hi Gwen, thank you for your most helpful video/s. Re the second artist, I searched Mirago but didn't find any artist that seemed to be the one you mentioned. Would you please tell me the name. Thank you and best wishes.

I am starting to barley figure out why Art teachers and Artists always say just look side at the trees look at the values dark rich colors to light colors and everything in between.
