This is one of your older videos but very much needed, great explanations and simple clear advice, inflammation is not really spoken about in detail - I’m converted, no more processed food for me, had a couple of things during the week but I’m retired now, no excuse not to cook from scratch most of the time😊, more exercise required, stress is under control, so no more excuses from me, hope I can stop any deterioration in those arteries! no symptoms so far 🤞 thank you Dr Guptar your a lovely man and a lifesaver. 🥰

Hi Dr Gupta! I’m a 61 yo RN in the US, and I just have to thank you for the wonderful teaching you’re doing!! I started listening/watching you because of the ectopic beats I’ve been having for a year now due to stress (and at times from an over full stomach) which I discovered from your videos. I’m beyond grateful for the way you’re able to get through to my adult ADHD brain!! Thank you for sharing your gifts with the world!! Thanks, too, for sharing the magnesium/stress/hyperventilation connection!! So helpful !!!! I’m scheduled to have an echo and a stress test separately this week coming, and then I’ll wear a Zio XT patch for 2 weeks. I have a horrific family history for heart attacks and my Mum had a CABG x3 at my age, so I’m motivated to get checked out. My main point for writing is to thank you for making an enormous difference in my life! I’m a stubborn ice cream addict, but because of your teachings, I’ve given up ice cream, along with other sugars, gluten, and dairy. so that I can live to see my first grand baby due to arrive in 6/19, and it’s a boy!! I’ve known for years that I need to make changes, however, it’s just now that I’m willing and able to finally take action because of the way you presented the information. Please know that you’re exactly the catalyst I needed to desire permanent change and health for myself!! I’m 45 lbs too heavy (which I’ve lost & regained again 3 times over the past 20 years), I have PCOS, HTN, and my A1c is 5.6, so your timing is spot on!! May God continue to Bless you and your family💖 Kindest Regards, Susan Joy Lundin, RN

“80% of Western disease is due to lifestyle.” Yes Sir. Thank you good Dr. I am currently learning/experimenting with decreasing inflammation thru lifestyle change. I switched to a modified low carb ketogenic diet x5months and already having great results. My migraines stopped within a week. Many other excellent side effects so far. I recently experimented with eating more nuts resulting in negative mood change and headache so maybe something with excessive omega 6. So cut them back down and the symptoms went away. Next experiment will be with increasing olive oil also intermittent fasting. I will look to see if you have a video on fasting. I feel good when I practice it but I wasn’t able to do it well till I switched to low carb lifestyle. I have also been more sensitive to caffeine since ketogenic so switching to decaf and herbal teas now. I have so much to learn. I am *very thankful for your generosity* in teaching us thru these videos. What an honorable work you are doing. So grateful Sir. 🙏🏼 Much respect.

An absolutely fabulous vid. Thank you dr, you are a REAL dr. You look at the big picture and are big on prevention. Most conventional drs are pill pushers for the drug lords “big pharma”. I had serious heart issues in 2014, and for 2015, took the beta blockers, spironolactone, and statins. I was slowly worsening. What the system has to offer for chronic disease is garbage. I put the statins in the garbage, dramatically reduced the other meds. At the same time, I went low carb, healthy high fat, lots and lots of greens. Took out all the processed food. I take magnesium, carnitine, d-ribose, ubiquinol. I can tell you, at age 60, I HAVE NEVER FELT BETTER. Also, good quality sleep, daily exercise and I get out in the sun when it’s available. Laugh when you can.

I wish that you were on KZbin 11 years ago. I listened to my doc and tried to control my cholesterol. That was all I worried about. He didn’t aggressively emphasized he importance of lowering the inflammation factors. I took statin and thought that was all I needed. Fast forward. I’m looking a quadruple bypass surgery in three weeks. These days, good ,clear, and direct information from caring professionals are very scarce. No doctors want to be vocal and push good health. The ones that do are either selling a book or vitamins. If you read this, please help advise us with heart disease on how to eat properly and reemphasize that staying healthy heart requires many lifestyle commitments other than just taking statins. Thanks.

It is a bit clearer now. But "inflammation" is still confusing. I cut my finger and the body has an inflammatory response to heal the wound. I jog 10 miles and my knees are swollen due to inflammation. That makes sense. But he talks about stress being inflammatory. That seems mysterious and *very different than an acute injury* that you can see. Hence the knife and toothbrush analogy. 🤔 He says to reduce stress but good luck reducing stress in today's world.☹ Also, a high degree of stress can often be very beneficial and motivational.

Thank you so much for this beautiful explanation of systemic inflammation. I am a health coach, and I try to explain this to people all the time, but they don't understand the scope of the damage inflammation can cause. Thank you thank you, thank you! Especially coming from a medical doctor and cardiologist! It is a wonderful tool for me to share this with my clients to add validity to what I told him!
