I was squeamish around bugs most of my life. Then, within 2 weeks of my first time flyfishing, I was completely cured. Tom is right, you don’t need to know entomology to flyfish, but the sport does open up a whole new appreciation for the entire ecosystem.

Oh same- I stopped getting grossed out by bugs after a few trips on my Papa's boat when he was teaching me how to flyfish
