I notice all those but never knew what some of them meant till now. They need more refinery research like increase efficiency to get more uncommons and rares. The payout currently just pales in the cost of upgrading things, I'm getting 7 each time and I have to pay thousands to upgrade. If it wasn't for events I might be waiting months just to upgrade a single part on a ship or just one building.

i cant point out how important the ship bartering researches are when it comes to upgrading the ships, especially the 4 star ships like the jellyfish. this makes a ton of difference

Awhile back I started an excel chart to track my research, next lv level power increase, cost, time, prerequisites and other stuff. It's a pain in the behind to setup but once it gets going, it works great for me. I am able to plan how to finish research events with minimum excess points and what to do next to get to what I needed. I even have a chart for buildings now. For those who like to plan ahead this is a good way to go

You're right Rev, I've been playing for over 2 and a half years and there are some things in here that I've never noticed like the $ on efficiency research. Also I also don't put much love into the Stella tree and never noticed the part efficiencies there. I'm going to max them and that'll save me a lot of parts on my Valdore I'm getting thoon.

The symbols truly help to scroll through the trees to get what u want quicker than the words,symbols are a quick efficient way of getting info across at a glance

There are now only 4 primes not paywalled in the game, although g5 materials are beyond your average f2p player at this time, everything else is theoretically grindable. The ungrindable primes are about cloaking and on the away teams research tree.

If I recall correctly the Treasury makes the Away Teams Prime Research Particle thingys available at level 40+.

Why do some researches have the latinum "shadowed". I have the latinum to go ahead and buy the research but unable to do so. Whats up with that? Do I need to be a higher level player?

For the lord of god… I’ve been playing since the beginning of the game and I’ve NEVER noticed the little money / level / red colour of the icon and what it could mean…. Shame on me and THANKS REV!!!!!

I think one of the most crucial researches that all of these videos never mention is the 'iso deflector shield' it is the ONLY research that reduces damage in pvp, so unlike other damage increasing researches where 20% increase actually means something like 0.2% in practice, a 10% damage reduction by iso deflector literally means 10% reduction, so it is a true game changer in pvp combat. And you need iso resin for it, which is not readily accessible by everyone.

Thanks for explaining this little things like that. That kind of info can help tremendously. Would love to see more on this kind of thing. How to complete missions, or how to go about grinding resources/officer shards, etc. Also, how do you have 3 researches going at once? I only see a slot for an extra that needs to be purchased from the store for $19.99

Please suggest to $copely to add a sortable list of all currently active, incomplete research for each tree...anything that has a green arrow, grey arrow, add a sort by power, timeframe, cost options...the trees are so big now it's nearly impossible to keep track of what you need to research next. we need a research search option now!

I'm hoping that there's a research tree for ALLIANCES. It has three choices, but you can only ever progress down one of them, so that your alliance has a particular flavour and style. It should be funded by the progenitor territory capture resources too.

I love the video but how about a scrapping guide to help players maximize their cost of improving Ships before scrapping them later for materials. For example I scrap my Stella at Tier 3 level 10 so that I could get Stella particles

My outlaw is similar don't worry. But slightly further along, not main focus, but top row beta particle is component research annoying me.. But need to get 2nd Stella past the rare bump and max my first, takes way too long constantly doing a lvl 4 Stella.

Rev can you please assist me with something that has me stumped..I am level 35 player with every building up to level and almost all research is up to level and I have prime officers and prime survival and 3 territory buffs peircing enhance dodge enhance and advanced damage buffs all active at time this level 33 person with 1 to 2 levels lower research and building bonuses less than mine beats me in battle using Lorca,Capt.Tilly, HG worf....and I don't understand how I lose when all my stats are higher than theirs his Lorca is a teir 2 by the way...i got them to send me screenshots of their research trees so i can see if anything they had advantage on me with... nothing is at or above mine it is all 1 to 2 levels lower...please help me understand how they win

@@RevDeuce I'm 85/160, ops 39 and BP only spender. Tried to focus on the other elements of that tree as some good efficiencies in there. Found the Stella gets noticeably better after M50 so hopefully just around the corner for you.

1. What is the formula for "improves cost efficiency"? No idea what I'm actually getting. 2. "Explorer Firepower" - critical hits do increased damage up 1%. ONE PERCENT?? Sounds like the lamest increase ever. Seems like even a 20% damage increase is barely noticeable. Am I missing something?

Scopley just screwed the FTP play in the game by having two Away Mission, missions. They know we have to use speedups in order to complete the mission and now by adding a second one, it forces you to buy speedup packs in order to finish and worst of all it's where you need the tokens to help finish the Arc. By doing this, the free vault is now in jeopardy. Please address this.

Research is good. It can take a long time but speeding is cheap with latinum. I don’t understand why Rev has saved 1.4 million latinum but kept his research so pitiful.

The changes result in literally thousands of UC reductions, depending on what we're discussing upgrading? There is a HUGE difference between maxed out efficiency researches and those who have done none at all.
