i've been playing SaGa Frontier Remastered but Romancing SaGa 2 has been sitting on my library unplayed for nearly a year, so i decided to start playing while I wait for my purchase of Romancing SaGa 3 to process. Great videos, subscribed!

The review is outstanding. Very organized and covers a lot of material. I am extremely impressed with this video. Other youtubers should watch your content and take notes.

Subbed! Your explanation was the best I've seen. It would be incredible if you could make a similar video series for the saga 3 remake.

Thanks man, glad to hear it. I plan on doing a series for RS3 once I play it

The only reason I showed any interest in wanting to play this game is because of Brutal Mario, lmao

How do you increase the logic stat? What determines it?
@rpg_haven2 ай бұрын
I believe there's one or two pieces of equipment that increase it, but that's about it. If you want to use Dark magic, use a character with a high Logic to Magic ratio

So if I understand this right, killing every monster in a dungeon isn't bad, you just should use a lot of different weapons doing so, right?
@rpg_haven3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, pretty much. It depends on your goal. If you like using lots of weapon types, you should try to use each type at least once per battle to increase your global levels optimally. This works great, but the trade off is you'll have less chances to use magic, unless you want to spend a lot of time doing weak attacks to extend battles. Personally, I prefer magic (it's really good in this game), so I stick with 2-3 weapon types and focus on using as many magic types per battle as I can. But the game is flexible enough that you can use whatever strat you like.
@c00lhand2082 жыл бұрын
@@rpg_haven what 2-3 weapon types do you typically stick with? Swords, obviously. But, there are only 4 other options, so what is it that you typically narrow it down to? Bows (I’m assuming) &…?
@rpg_haven2 жыл бұрын
@@c00lhand208 Bows for sure, for their multi-target skills. Beyond that it really doesn't matter since magic is so good in RS2. Personally, I tend to go with swords and greatswords because they're cool. Certain classes are better with certain weapon types though, so that may influence what you choose.

So if you want to level up your party for a bit before a generation shift, is it smart to go to the maze of memory and level grind their? And does that mean that you can earn lots of money in the maze of memory if you run from battles?
@rpg_haven7 ай бұрын
That should be fine as long as you're not wasting battles on super weak monsters. Go up the floors until you reach enemies that are reasonably tough

Just picked up the remaster because it was 70% off, as are most of the other games and wasn't really sure which to start with. Gotta say though, the game is pretty rough and extremely vague. I really wanted to like this series but I dunno if I got it in me :/ Great guides btw.
@rpg_haven Жыл бұрын
For what it's worth, the the third game is more guided and less confusing, and most people like it more. Maybe check RS3 out if you're willing to give the series another chance.

Okay I am a old RPG’s fanatic and I am still so confused about what to do it ain’t funny!!!!? But I purchased this one and part 3 . This game looks so cool and I love the retro video game vibe all 16 bits of it. But wow talk about complicated!!! I got Shin Megami TENSEI V and made it very far to find out that my demons are going to have to understand fusion and I got stuck! OHHHHH the horror of it all! Needless to say I am stuck and I can’t get up!!!!

RS2's a tough game! If you reach an area where enemies are too strong, look for somewhere else you can go. It's all about figuring out how to unlock new quests, which let you reach new areas.
@randomd00d19 Жыл бұрын
I'm fine with this game's systems, but the amount of shit they don't tell you, and the amount of shit that is OUTRIGHT HIDDEN is absurd. Wanna know what's worse? THIS IS A REMASTER. THEY COULD HAVE SHOWN THIS STUFF TO US. They specifically decided NOT TO upon doing an enhanced port.
@rpg_haven Жыл бұрын
The remaster does have a few new features that make the game easier, but hiding stats and stuff is just Romancing Saga's style. The fun is supposed to be in figuring it out yourself, but not everyone's into that
