Thank you for such an informative video. I am trying to diagnose my 2016 STD 500 UCE which isn't generating a spark. I checked everything throughly, although my pulsar coil is showing a resistance of 400ohms. The manual says 180-240ohms. Is there an issue with my pulsar coil?

Sir Royal Enfield BS3 & BS4 uce models have different TCI units and different types of ignition coils in different part numbers available in RE Original Parts for the same twin spark UCE 350 engine. Also, it comes in many colors, like black blue green are all these common? or the pulse timing programming are differ from each models can we fix any type of tci units in uce 350 engine ? Or different? Please post a video about it sir

My Thunderbird starts and idles fine but once throttle input is provided, shuts off.But once I remove and re install the tps connection on TCI unit, things are fine again for some time but after a few kilometres issue happens again.Should I replace the TCI unit or the TPS switch?

After short circuiting tps from classic 350 carburettor version, there is sudden increase in pickup. But somebody told that it cause to melt valves and piston.Basically it is a Rheostate , so if we short circuiting the tps there is zero ohm resistance and full potential on spark plug. So is there any problem like melting valves or piston?? Also u r explanation is very good by the way

Nope. The TPS in these bikes are static and just like some pickle.... If without TPS power is increasing then I would think about it. Valve and piston melting means over heating issue which is related to wrong AFR or no engine oil or low supply engine oil or too much of usage of bike or bad engine oil or high speed constant riding or bad fuel

Hello Sir. What is the difference between Analogue TCI & Digital TCI in BS4 ROYAL ENFIELD. My bike BULLET ELECTRA 2017 BS4 MODEL was having initially Analogue & it got damaged. I have replaced it with Digital One. Is there any adverse effect on Ignition. I am feeling something that is not correct in the Ignition system. Please help.

Hello Sir. Waiting for your suggestion. As I understood, if correctly Blue colored TCI is Digital & Green one is Analogue.

nope.nothing like that. it is just a timing curve difference so color code given to the body.

My 2014 Electra feels dead after mid RPMs. Is it something to do with the TCI or TPS sensor ? Got a new carb last year and got it tuned recently. Still bike takes a long time to reach 100. I’ve seen others’ bikes reach 100 easily

Possible clutch issue. Slippage is causing the speed issue. Please check that.

sudden mileage drop in my classic 350 bs3 2013 model. mechanic cleaned carburettor and spark plug all good for 10 kms.suddenly sound increases and spark plug becomes black again and again.mileage is 32kmpl.what is the problem sir.already head work done in lathe.piston is changed to .025 . unable to find the mileage problem,help me sir.

choked air filter, water in petrol, faulty spark plug, weak battery, faulty IG coil or faulty TCI unit..open choke or leaky choke in carburetor, choked intake carb air vent holes which are at bottom of the periphery which is facing towards air filter..

@@MechAutoClinic Thanks for the reply sir.finally found the problem.ignition coil wires wrongly fitted. so spark plug becomes black..i checked and connected correctly.and valve guide shaking problem solved. finally got 47 kmpl mileage.adjusted carburator petrol screw to outer most possible turn.pickup dropped.but mileage incresed.

Sir my bike wouldn't start, mechanic diagnsed it as faulty tci unit and put a different tci unit from another bike, bike started immediately. But you have told without tci unit bike can start?

sir if we direct the TPS switch in electra bs4 it's performed very smooth without any missing, i replace the TPS switch also new and set the yellow mark at wot position only but i feel a little missing ,,directing the switch cases any issues?

@@supremekailash33 in TCI motorcycles.... TPS works hardly... Since it's a static based so you won't feel a lot... In fact even if it is dynamic with carb still you won't feel any great change. TPS performance or feeling of its presence, can be felt only in ECM bikes.

TCI unit ko ek brown wire hai or ek black. Brown ko 12volt ana chahiye. Black ko earth check karo. Ignition coil main ek white ro ek brown wire rahegi. Ignition coil ke brown wire ko 12 volt ana chahiye. Or white color wire ko Continuity dekhna tci se ignition coil tak. Battery full charge honi chahiye.

In TCI there is no seperate controller apart from Rev Limited which is locked at 5500RPM app. Since you are talking about TCI that means your motorcycle is carburetor model. So check pilot/slow jet and carburetor slide. If slide has discoloration then replace it. Motorcycle will be fine. Please update. Thanks.

My bike is not Enfield. Its Suzuki GSX 550. Carbs are as new.

@@bogdanzivkovic157 then check the jets. if 550 that means 4 cylinder motorcycle. you are not able to rev above means pilot jets are prolly blocked or not tuned on Carb Synchronizer or fuel supply to all is uneven. sometimes this happen when fuel is not in all carbs. I am surprised that GS550 has TCI. I believe it is based on CBP rather than TCI. if CBP then you mae need to work on CBP by using IGT Flash Gun.update me. Thanks

What it had the last i checked before the whole thing went dead was a TCI UNIT with two sets of wiring bearing oart No. 147256/A LH and 147256/A RH.one for right hand side and other for left which i cant find. Now i have ordered a new CDI UNIT and making my own wiring harness

Shiva Renuka can't really give you proper info on that but my guessing is due to different timing they have kept the color code. Blue is for 350 and green for 500. Since both are for different CC. I am sorry but this is my guessing. I may be wrong.

Hello sir, sir my bike sometimes won't start by self start, i can hear electromagnet sound in relay but still it won't, should be holding n releasing clutch n start switch then aft many tries sometimes it starts so is that depends on TCI? r relay should be replaced? The readings when only ignition switch is on and when both ignition and engine kill switches are on. I'm working for 6 days on my Electra, now I found the problem that current is not reaching to the ignition coil but the wires I checked are fine. I want to make sure that TCI unit is OK. Please Sir, your help with these readings will be appreciated.
