yes, it was based on the Toyota IQ. Aston Martin then lavished hundreds of hours on each car to craft their version.

Great question - Stuart is 6ft 2inches and can drive the car comfortably. The front cabin is really spacious, the rear is much smaller. Although it is described as a 4 seater, nobody could sit behind Stuart because he has the driver seat so far back.

It was a Toyota IQ/Scion xA with Aston luxury and styling. It was only made and sold to bring down Aston’s fleet fuel economy to meet regulatory standards. It was a dumb car that they knew they wouldn’t sell many of.

Yes, it was based on a Toyota IQ - that is no secret. Nevertheless, they are still great city cars,, beautifully personalised, very reliable and hold their value incredibly well. Therefore, any car that we get normally sells instantly.

@@billweaver6092 we can tell you that it definitively isn't based on a Yaris. What you mean is a Toyota IQ. Aston Martin never made a secret of this. They simply added a bespoke Aston Martin suit that took them a huge amount of man hours to craft. The are a great, luxury city car with a cult following.

@@agaafear point being, they have a very strong following. The buyers don't need much convincing - they are just a beautifully finished small car. They also hold their money tremendously well so the perverse outcome is that they have been cheaper to run than an IQ because of the lack of depreciation. Accepting that they required a far greater outlay first. We really like them.
