Understanding the Book of Romans

Pastor Garry D. Zeigler from Spirit Food Christian Center in Winnetka, California begins teaching a message titled "Understanding the Book of Romans". The contemporary word of God that is given unto us in the book of Romans explains what us happening to us now and the reason the Apostle Paul wrote the book of Romans is because he wanted believers to understand what was going on around them. It is necessary because it will help us live like we are supposed to live and understand why. It will also help us explain to others how we are living according to the revelation knowledge of God's word that causes us to live above the "norm" of society. Thank you so much Pastor Garry, for being who you are; for having been open to recieve the grace of God... His grace has given you the unique ability to make these Bible studies understandable and 100% relatable. I subscribed after just a few minutes of listening to you get into the book of Romans. Since surrendering my life wholly and completely over to our blessed Lord and Savior, there has come over me such a great desire, a strong *yearning* to learn, to drink in and truly understand Scripture in all it's glory. Since the beautiful gift of my Salvation, the absolute *love* and *awe* I have for Christ Jesus is not possible to describe in earthly words. All I know is that there is a big pressure in my heart, in my whole chest when I think about the Lord, when I pray. It is an overwhelming pressure of love that feels glorious! I talk to Him often, out loud in full conversation, as I would if he was standing there with me in human form. Anyway, I hope you read my comment here so you can know that I appreciate very much, your way of teaching. God has bestowed upon you a gift that I wish more Pastors had. There are so many false prophets everywhere you look so finding a true believer such as yourself- who loves The Word *as it is* and changes nothing because it is already in its perfect state, calls for a steady Discernment and the supernatural guidance of our Father in Heaven. 🙏 God Bless -

Who is Jesus? why is Jesus so important to you guys? So you believe in a fake Jesus...You could have said Jesus is the messiah... but know you had to copy and past the whole bible..and why?Maybe its because out side of what is written in that bible you have no relationship with Jesus...like.... if GOD is really God... why doesn't the God who makes the mouth speak? and if the same God who makes the ear then surely He can hear as well... right...i know what Jesus told me when He appeared to me. i know that experience changed me life...But for you your only experience with the LIVING GOD.. has been found in a book not written by you... why? Why have you not experienced Jesus's voice speak to you? Have you not seen Him? i did not fine Jesus in a church, i was at home and Jesus came and found me...and i dont need a bible or some else's testimony to tell you what happened to me. Seeing and hearing Jesus first hand... changed my life...JESUS IS GOD. Had any other creature or being came to me in the way Jesus did.. i would tell who they were... but NO It was Jesus the Christ of mankind was the one who appeared to me...Faith is believing in things unseen things hoped for... reality has no place for faith. Faith says you believe in a God who says He loves you... yet there is no evidence of that being true. faith says God is and has been blessing you.... but in the reality is there no evidence of it being true.. for we are persecuted all day long.. Faith says.... God loves the poor and starving yet they still rot to death without food. so faith believe in a Good God... and we do what we believe a good does...absent of faith is absent of God presence.. faith moves us to do what God is not doing.. Jesus did what a good God should have done.. He healed people... He forgave people He did things only a good God would do... He fed thousands... He visited the widows while they were in distress... Faith does what a good God should be doing.... This why we do this why we leave prayer to those who are to weak it give them something to do... While we feed the poor.. Why faith.. Jesus is the living example we are to live by... this is Gods design.. that He would be seen working through you...Faith allows the unseen God to be seen... See your faith is dead. and why do i say this... out side of your book your god doesn't exist.. Where as My God can be seen every day... The disciples did not carry about with them a copy of the new testament.. They told people what they saw heard and touched... and it was not a book.. So how will the poor man experience God? through prayer? or love working through faith? how will orphan and widows find God? through prayer? or faithful followers of Jesus who are healing other casting out demons and feeding the thousands? when told the parable about he good Samaritan i dont remember telling to take your bible with you and give this half dead man some prayer... He did not say Let go and LET GOD! He go and do what is right..Help the man by dressing his wounds.. put the man in your car or on your beast and take them to the Hospital or inn keeper. and at the power of your own resources see to it He is fully restored.. This why Jesus is so important... If Jesus is not alive in you then the light of LIFE has escaped you as well... what does it mean to have faith in Jesus Christ? what does Faith look like when fully alive? Peter healing a crippled man... Now Peter and John went up together to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour. And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms from those who entered the temple; who, seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, asked for alms. And fixing his eyes on him, with John, Peter said, “Look at us.” So he gave them his attention, expecting to receive something from them. Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them-walking, leaping, and praising God. And all the people saw him walking and praising God. So when Peter saw it, he responded to the people: “Men of Israel, why do you marvel at this? Or why look so intently at us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made this man walk? But you denied the Holy One and the Just, and asked for a murderer to be granted to you, and killed the Prince of life, whom God raised from the dead, of which we are witnesses. And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all. So my question is did the man who was healed need a bible? IN order for his testimony to be valid? and why is it you guys don't have a testimony? all you have is a book... If you did not have that book you would have no faith in Jesus or the things of this reality... Where is the truth? the truth doesn't need a book to make it real.. Faith is a transformation of ones life which is so profound it cannot be denied by any one... why does the world suffer... Faith without works is dead. What does faith look like? a person who walks about carrying a bible under their arm? Faith does the things we all know A Good God should be doing... in this way God is seen through you.. Faith is believing in things hoped for.. and our faith is us becoming likened to Jesus Christ... and what does the world need most these days... JESUS CHRIST... So the poor are waiting for JESUS CHRIST. THE MURDERED ARE WAITING FOR JESUS CHRIST. THE RAPED ARE WAITING FOR JESUS CHRIST. THE WIDOWS ARE WAITING FOR JESUS CHRIST. THE SICK ARE WAITING FOR JESUS CHRIST. THE PRISONERS ARE WAITING FOR JESUS CHRIST. THE NAKED ARE WAITING FOR JESUS CHRIST. THE HUNGRY AND THE THIRSTY ARE WAITING FOR JESUS CHRIST. WHEN IS JESUS CHRIST GOING TO COME A LIVE IN YOU?

Bu if you take out the verb "to be" before the word saints, doesn't that imply that we are all automatically saints? Which is not the case we are saint by our sanctification only! We are not all sanctified, we are not all living righteously. So I believe the verb "to be" saints... is crucial to the context of the scripture. I am also curious about a review of this in light of the world today 2020?

Penal substitutionary atonement is the doctrine that says that God damned the Son on the cross. When this happened the Trinity was separated. Because God could not look on sin. If you ask some Protestants or Evangelicals about this doctrine they say "well God did not damn the second Person of the Trinity, the Divine Jesus. God damned the human person. The human Jesus on the cross. When the human Jesus died he went to hell and suffered the penalty you deserved." I find a lot of Protestants who believe this stupidity. First of all there is no human person Jesus. There is only one hypostasis in Christ. That person (hypostasis), is a Divine Person the Logos, second Person of the Trinity. To believe there are two persons in Christ is called the heresy of Nestorianism. Nestorianism was condemned at the Council of Ephesus. There was never a human person Jesus. Jesus was a Divine Person indwelling human nature. Protestant atonement theology causes Protestants to be Nestorians by necessity. This problem in Protestant atonement theory flows from a heretical Christology Additionally to say that the Trinity was separated is blasphemous. There is only one Will in God. Because Will is a function of nature. Will is not a function of person. If Will were a function of person there would be three Will's in God. So there is only one Will in God. To say that the Trinity was separated against itself is blasphemous. That would mean the Will of God was split against itself. This is the retarded theology of Protestantism. Protestant atonement theory is by default anti Trinitarian. For a better treatment of this subject watch "Protestantism and Evangelicalism Refuted by Jay Dyer on KZbin.
