KLR 650. Installed as it was preset with silver springs. Couldn't get it to work properly. Contacted Rekluse and after discussion was determined to need 3 red springs. Installed 3 red springs, nothing, exactly the same symptoms as before. I'm afraid all I am doing is burning up the friction disks/clutches. Sometimes it will sit and idle in gear and not creep. And as soon as I get in throttle it works. The problem is, after that it won't fully disengage,bit tries to creep. Turn engine off, and restart, and it will idle without creeping. Until I throttle up and engage the clutch, then it's back to creeping into I shut engine off. I'm getting to the point that I believe I've been taken for a lot of $$$$$ I'll never recoup.

I recently got a bike with a rekluse clutch and I'm not really used to it. Is there a way to make it feel and act like a normal clutch, so the bike moves on idle with the clutch out and stalls if you drop the clutch on idle?

I have 370 hrs in my recluse never touched it. I have correct free play gain but if I let out the clutch it stalls when I pull in the clutch and throttle it it goes. That’s how I ride it. I’ll fix it when it fails completely. Too busy riding for now

Hey Michael, this video is regarding clutch performance with our auto clutches. When the auto clutch is properly set up, the bike should not move forward when in gear until throttle is applied

Michael Hunter. also maybe just semantics? i believe. when you “release” a clutch lever it “engages” the clutch. when you pull a clutch lever it “releases” the clutch. but in common speak ppl mix the two

OK I admit it, I ran my bike with too much drag in tight woods. Today on a 90 degree weather, the clutch lever did not disengage the unit at all, it went all the way to the handle bars w/o resistance , after cooling down it seemed ok , but happened again in every tight section.. Thanks for your question. We don't currently offer a manual slave cylinder for your model that is designed to work with a stock clutch. The Rekluse auto clutches for you model do come with the adjustable slave cylinder, designed for use with an auto clutch only. We do offer service kits for these adjustable slave cylinders. (Standard Clutch) When I let the clutch out (dirt bike) there is a now a moment (often) where its not engaged, then after a second it will seem to lock up and engage finally. The clutch has many hours, but I'm asking if this very specific action is pretty common when the clutch is going out, or would it likely be something else?

My Yz250f 2005 was running fine. I recently switched my front clutch and brake levers on my bike and it started acting up. I've got the core exp 3.0 on a '14 KTM 350exc-f. I started at 1 full turn+ 5 clicks. Then I started going clockwise 1 tick at a time. I ended up all the way back in (fully seated) & I still have a lot of drag + the bike stalls easy. Do I need to brake in the clutch plates before trying to dial the free play? Would air in the line cause this? The lever feels normal. Idle is at 1800. Thanks!

Hi. I have a 70cc cingle cylinder honda bike. My bike can achieve a speed of 60 on straight road, 70 on down slope but when it comes a uphill road i cant climb it in even 2nd gear. I have to put it in 1st gear. There is no smoke symptom and no weard smell. Now is this a bad clutchplate/pressure plate or a lose compression ? There is zero oil leakage from any joint of engine ?

Hey, i have a Tc125 and when i pull my clutch lever in and put the bike in gear it automatically wants to move forward what could that mean. My bike also seems to do the exact opposite of rev hanging, when i rev stop the bike the rpms drop fast is that a bad thing? if so how can i fix both problems.

My kids kx 65 needs adjustment but I’m not sure where it seems like He has to give a lot of throttle out of first for the bike not to die out on him. Rather then a slow take off he’s almost forced to take off fast. Any ideas what needs adjustment?

Hi Brandon, be sure you have 1/8 inch - 1/4 inch of Free Play Gain in the clutch lever when the motorcycle is revved half throttle in neutral. I recommend using the rubber band included in the kit to check FPG or apply more pressure to the lever when checking. Also make sure you are doing a quick rev and then release of the throttle. If the adjustment bolt is all the way out then you will have drag and technically should have a ton of freeplay gain. The easiest way to get you support is to have you talk through the install with one of our team members 208-426-0659 8am-5PM MST

@@RekluseMotorSports Thanks for the reply. I did not do the install but if you skip to the end of that video link it shows me attempting the rubber band step. I turned the screw on the perch handle in maybe 1 to 2 turns. I had no free play or free play gain. I didn't want to mess with it too much until I brought it back to the shop. Keep in mind it's $115/hr for labor and I'm all out of the stimulus money I used for this whole deal ($650 for Rekluse, $400 labor(only charged 3hrs)).

@@RekluseMotorSports The guy who did mine, who has 30+ years experience, actually took 6 hours, but they only charged me for 3 hours since I was originally quoted for 2 hours. I am bringing it in tomorrow to see what they say. Before I left with it he told me it would likely need another adjustment. I hope they honor the work and don't charge me for it but I am definitely going to give him the # I was given. He's done Rekluse clutches before with no problem, just never on a raptor 700.

As of 6/2/2020 a second trip back to the installer had it mint! Can't wait to try it this weekend. No slipping and I've unlisted the video I linked so I can have a redo of it.
