Leo, if you're into personality models, there's one I think is even more comprehensive than 5-factor. The model I prefer is called the HEXACO personality model, and it has everything from 5-fac as well as a sixth factor called Honesty-Humility (the H Factor). H is useful for analyzing people relative to the dark triad and can be thought of as a measure of reverse-manipulativeness (how averse someone is to being deceitful, greedy, and machiavellian.) In terms of politics, H correlates negatively with social dominance orientation, in the same way that openness correlates neg with right-wing authoritarianism. I really like the HEXACO model because it offers many subtleties and nuances not found in 5-fac, such as the distinction between being confrontational for selfish reasons and being confrontational for the sake of protecting others. If you plan on doing a video on personality, I think you would be better served to do it on HEXACO over 5-fac. I don't hate 5-fac or anything. I do appreciate it. It's just that HEXACO contains all the insights of 5-fac, plus more. It's basically like the expansion pack.

I'm paraphrasing here, but you stated around 8:12 that if you grow up in a violent and unsafe area then there is no opportunity to become a liberal. And yet inner city minorities, like those who grow up and live amongst the persistent and pervasive violence of places like Chicago or Baltimore seem to mostly grow up to be liberals. How does that work? The vast majority of conservatives are from more rural areas, while liberalism is a trait of the big violent cities. These things don't mesh for me. What are your thoughts?
@nicholascampbell902 жыл бұрын
You're right I grew up in Philadelphia which is about 85% democrat overall and I believe the reason is more a lack of opportunities and chance to get out. So they incentivize people to vote democrat with promises of free stuff, handouts, welfare, food stamps, etc. I've literally watched democrat pollsters go into the Kensington neighborhood of Philly which is a known open air drug market, get the homeless and addicted registered to vote democrat while giving them food/clothes/money/drug paraphernalia under the condition they would vote democrat and bring their friends with them! This is the sad truth but I've seen it with my own eyes.
@ActualizedOrg Жыл бұрын
That is easily explained by culture. The culture in a big city is liberal relative to rural areas. That's because a big city requires a more open, multucultural culture. But also, don't underestimate how many minorities are quite conservative.

9:24 I love this observation! "There's not one right way to be at all times. It should be situational." The same is true for everything else! Take "being present" vs "living in the past and future." Yes, presence is blissful. Animals are present. They have no fear, shame, or expectations, so they're happy, even when they're getting chased by a lion. Humanity, on the other hand, is defined by its awareness of things that don't exist. As such, they can dislike the vanilla they're eating because they remember the chocolate they ate yesterday. They can have identities and aspirations. But this comes with a lot of suffering, especially when you LIVE in the unreal (or intellect) 24/7. So, like Leo says, you have to pick and choose; Live in the past and future when you have to be a human, but live in the now when you're acting like a stress ball. Love you!

I must say though, i hope the more conservative leaning folks listened to the conservative mind video first because you appealed to the conservative views there and gave a little about the liberal view in contrast. A conservative might understand a little about the liberal perspective from that. I doubt very many conservatives would make it ten minutes in this one. You were pretty rough on em here... Men, brave men, brave leaders blead and sacrificed themselves so we can be here today having this conversation. Its always the brave throughout time that fight the dragon, and then in relative peace the pontificators forget the past and how we all got to relative peace. History was never linear it was always a mosaic of blood and death. Hence one must never forget how bad it can get.

First, I want to thank Leo for taking on these subjects in depth because it is absolutely essential for people to make an attempt to understand different perspectives. However, while listening to the video, I struggled to put together the theory with my experiences in actual life encounters especially in academia. It is almost like what Leo is saying about the liberal mind is directly opposite to the practice... so it got me thinking... And here is what I think Leo lumped together, the openminded compromising empathetic liberal mind that was studied and the actual woke activists that in the name of justice appear in practice rigid, forceful and uncompromising in their beliefs, and are often driven by rage, self hatred and/or fear, in other words I would say they represent the shadow side of a liberal mind if nothing else. Not all of progressives are this way of course, but their leaders and representatives, the most active and vocal ones certainly are. They utilize common words such as inclusion to mean censorship, diversity in the name of blurring the boundaries between childhood and adulthood, and equity in the name of racial division and segregation, to name a few examples. That is why the actual liberal minds are increasingly no longer supportive of social justice warriors. It is also hard to connect the liberal mind characteristics to saying that naziism is love, knowing of the horrific human rights violations and extermination of those in concentration camps is incomprehensible to me personally. But coming back to my observations, many young people are depressed and anxious, because of this doublethink and doublespeak mentality being pushed on them by radically progressive environments that deny critical thinking and knowledge as just brain constructs that dont exist, which creates a state of permanent cognitive dissonance and confusion and what it really does in the end is create a chronic state of learned helplessness in innocent young people who want to do good, but are lost in this schizm they are immersed into. The only way a person would not notice this inversion, is if they actually did not participate in society, academia, corporate culture, etc... maybe it would be useful to compare theory against some practical lived experience... Then, there would be no questions as to why on earth a person would reject such a noble concept of Marcusian social justice... still, I find this video to be very useful to open up and engage in true exploratory discourse, maybe more people would agree on common values if these conversations started triggering curiosity opposed to anger on either side. So thank you for putting this together, this is a complicated issue (in practice) in desperate need of understanding. I have hope in humanity and optimism that we will see the truth even through confusion, misunderstanding and emotional thinking.
@ActualizedOrg2 жыл бұрын
The issue you are talking about is all about ideology, group-think, and survival. As I explained, most minds are merely using ideology of both left and right to advance survival and power. Left and right are both very guilty of this, which leads to unprincipled behavior. You must distinguish between people who have turned liberalism into an ideology vs those who follow it in a principled manner. The majority of all political actors, left and right, are just blind ideologues acting out their personal survival agendas with little integrity or self-awareness. Majority of mankind is also corrupt. So that explains it. The conservative mind is no better at critical thinking.
@NuitHadit2 жыл бұрын
@@ActualizedOrg If I have a conservative mind, I must be a weird breed since I scored 94/100 on openness to experience and 97/100 in agreeableness in the 5 personality traits test 😆 ... No, I am not a conservative mind by personality type, INFP, even though with experience in life, I have come to appreciate some of its best principles, in attempting to balance my excesses out (and had to pay more attention to structure in my life too). Life sometimes corrects the excesses, if one is willing to learn... I resonate with a lot of liberal values you described, even though I am not a progressive, but it is really what is happening on the ground that has me concerned. I trained myself to think ahead, maybe its my neuroticism that serves me so well, as it could be detrimental to be so openminded that ones brains fall out (been there done that :))... Yet, I appreciate your clarification, it was an important point for me, and I would imagine some other listeners as well. I imagine when people start discussing these things and set aside emotional thinking, a lot of positive and constructive progress could be done. Peace ✌️

The next stage is being a systems thinker. Not thinking or solving problems leaning to one side or the other. The body is a system. It functions optimally when you factor in what happens to the lungs when you treat the heart. Conservative or liberal is a stage of individual or collective thinking of countries and cultures. Just like integrating the ego and the spiritual aspect of the self. A dominant focus on the ego or the spiritual worldview is not operating at full capacity, or full human potential. There is no end to what is possible for human or collective potential. We are very far in terms of time for the collective to become dominantly systems thinkers, however, as individuals we don’t need to wait for anyone else.

leftism: Otherwise known as “progressivism” and even more inaccurately as “liberalism”, leftism is a term originating from the French Revolution of 1789, in reference to the political faction that opposed the French (so-called) king. However, the term is currently used in common discourse to describe those criminals who actively support (or at least tacitly condone) a host of OBJECTIVELY-WICKED ideologies and practices that contravene dharma, such as non-monarchical governances and corrupt economic systems (particularly socialism, communism, fascism, and liberal democracies), egalitarianism, feminism, perverse sexuality (especially homosexuality, bestiality, and transvestism), multiculturalism, and the illegitimate abortion of innocent, defenceless, unborn children. Cf. “dharma”. In the past decade or two, the mass media, especially the motion picture industry and television production companies, has been aggressively promoting all the above CRIMINAL ideologies and practices, helping to expedite the destruction of human civilization. Recently, large corporations have jumped on the leftist bandwagon (so to speak), in order to profit. As explicated in Chapter 11 of this “A Final Instruction Sheet for Humanity”, the state of being of any particular human (or any other animal for that matter) is due entirely to his or her genetic sequencing and his or her conditioning. Therefore, the explosion of the leftist/liberal mentality in recent decades, particularly in Western countries, has been caused by poor breeding strategies overtaking the more conservative tradition of mate-selection of previous centuries (and indeed, millennia). In other words, due to the fact that criminal behaviour (especially the deviant sexual acts mentioned above) has become increasingly more tolerated, condoned, and even GLORIFIED in most countries, there has been a proliferation of corrupt genetic codes within the wider human population. According to genealogists, for (almost) the entire history of humanity, most women have successfully reproduced, whilst a far far smaller percentage of males have bequeathed their genetic sequence to proceeding generations. Due to the gradual phasing-out of polygamous marriages in even the most conservative societies, as well as the eradication of poverty in most every country, more and more men (as well as women) have been producing offspring. Thus, the human genome has rapidly become adulterated by inferior genetic material (that is, DNA from truly pathetic, uxorious beta-males, bisexuals, and even homosexual couples who engage surrogate mothers or sperm donors in order to conceive children - something of a rare occurrence in previous centuries/millennia). Unsurprisingly, the majority of leftists find it difficult to accept the fact that their criminal mentality is largely inherited (and of course, they are unwilling to acknowledge the blatantly-obvious fact that their ideologies and practices are intrinsically sinful, wicked, evil, and immoral in the first place). It seems the consensus amongst leftist "intellectuals" is that every human mental trait is due entirely to one's environmental conditioning, rather than as a consequence of BOTH one's genetic sequence and one’s conditioning - a fundamentally-flawed assertion that cannot be scientifically-supported. This term was very reluctantly used in the chapter on feminism. I say “reluctantly” because it is unlikely that the term will perdure for many decades longer. This is simple deductive logic, since, as clearly demonstrated in certain chapters in “F.I.S.H”, human civilization cannot survive with such leftist practices and ideologies in place. If you happen to be reading this Holy Scripture a century or more after its conception, you will probably be residing in a nation (as opposed to a country) ruled by a monarch, following the implosion of post-modern, decadent societies. So, either the term “leftism” will eventually become redundant and obsolete, or else, human civilization will devolve into a decadent, diseased state of existence similar to that of the prehistoric era, when the peoples of the world resided in caves or shacks, subsisting on whatever food can be sourced from the surrounding bushland. I trust that you who are reading these wise words will endeavour to influence your social circles to adhere to right-leaning ideologies, such as monarchical governance, an entirely free-market economy, sexual purity, and all other virtuous principles. Fear not, for GOD is with you! P.S. As a general rule, it seems (at least anecdotally) that the farther left-leaning is a person, the more physically (and of course, psychologically) UGLY is that person. Unfortunately, that doesn’t seem to prevent leftists from propagating their mutant genes. 🤡

I love you Leo but your biases are creeping into this. if L= feminine and R= masculine, then logic would tell you that center has the best grasp on integrating both masculine and feminine approach. (you said the left has the better grasp on integrating both) seems self evident that the further right you go, the more rational thinking is used and the further left you go, the more raw emotion is used. both are needed. center/ non partisan seems like the obvious best way to lead. (you said the feminine way is the best way to lead) something to think about. 😘😘😘

I personally think that we as humans have evolved bove of those perceptions and also the brain to balance the humane race. They are both valuable the conservative useful to survive in the current environment and trying to maintain ground for our survival, while liberal mind is there to improve and enhance the present condition of human live. But that's also the point why these partys are often in a conflict of interests with each other.

It is important to understand that the liberal mind is characterized by a belief in progress and the idea that society can be improved through the promotion of individual rights and freedoms. Liberalism is based on the principles of liberty, equality, and justice, and seeks to create a more inclusive and fair society. This often involves support for policies such as democracy, human rights, and social welfare programs. However, it is important to recognize that there are different forms of liberalism, and that individuals may have different interpretations of what it means to be a liberal. It is important to approach the understanding of the liberal mind with an open and respectful attitude, and to listen to the perspectives and experiences of others in order to truly understand their viewpoints. 2:18:55

Hi there, ever since I started on this consciousness path, I was able to tap so much into my consciousness and discover that I am Awareness and it all felt so good, but now my mind seems to be clamping down really hard, and it's like there's an entity in my head that's constantly over-reactive and causing all sorts of clenching or tightness in my body, it makes me unable to burp or fart or poop easily, it's amplifying the pain I feel from all sorts of things and feelings, and it's affecting my life really much. When I try to talk to this entity, I always get the same answers, it wants me to suffer, and the reason it is here is because of all the consciousness work that I did, and that it is killing it, so it wants me to stop, but I have already stopped for so long, almost weeks, but this entity is still here, and it's just making life harder and harder by the day, I'm like having constipation and bloating just from the fact that mind is so tight that it won't let me release, and my entire life is now centered around finding ways to burp and fart and poop. No matter how hard I try to make peace or be friends with it, it just stays silent, and gives me no answer, and whenever I even think about anything that's slightly triggering to it, like abiding in God consciousness, or meditating, or simply being jolted by sudden movements, and noises, it just goes absolutely nuts, and clenches up completely, making the top of my head feel like there's a clamp on it. I really need help on this, have you or anyone here encountered such a phenomenon before? And what would you guys recommend I do to put an end to this? Is there a way to come to peaceful terms with it? A way for it to just let go if I would stop the meditations? Do I just give it time to calm down? It seems worse and worse each day. Do I keep on practicing meditation regardless of how painful it is and maybe it will be gone forever? But it just feels worse and worse the more I do it, and it always comes back, and it feels wrong to be forcing things like this. I feel like my life is really going to end if I don't find any solutions, anyone who has any idea what's going on and what I should be doing, I would be so grateful to hear from you!

Regarding a liberals increased ability for self reflection. Wouldn't it perhaps make more sense that Iiberals are better at pointing out systemic errors because they have a decreased sense of personal responsibility while conservatives are better at pointing out errors in the individual’s within the system because they have an increased sense of personal responsibility?

2 Beautiful sets of organized thoughtful analyses. As an intuitive I can sense that Leo composed the conservative video, from the most part, from a non attached view, however in the liberal view I could sometimes feel Leo’s own persona within the text, coming out through his voice as his own, so it sounds like a less than a completely non judgmental non attached viewpoint. Hence there were some holes here. Where Leo shines in both is his ending section where he calls us to imagine worlds through the liberal and conservative views. Both are beautiful and I believe both are attainable at the same time. However I do believe people all need to be lifted up economically and intellectually to a certain point (like mainly yellow level consciousness, tier 2 consciousness) to get there. ❤

For a great representation of what a liberal mind is compared to a conservative one watch "The Shawshank Redemption" the main character has a liberal mind but he is thrust upon an extremely conservative world in a high security Prison. All he has is his wits to survive. If you are conservative and are willing to learn to appreciate liberal folks it's a great way to do so.

Hey Leo, I have a very simple question, pls don't ignore my question because of my bad English. I am 24 means living on this Earth for a pretty long time but still I am not able to be social, interact with people, even if I want so. In fact I want to make an impression, a very good impression, in my imagination i watch myself speaking fluently and people are listening, but when i meet someone the whole thing gets upside down, I can't even hold a topic, i mean that time im so uncomfortable not even able to think what to think or what to speak. And the worst thing is that time my face tells everything. More i pretend to be happy in front of people the more I'm hurting from inside because I'm uncomfortable as hell, It's just like that its not under control, all these things affect much more in life like i missed so many opportunities seriously I want to get rid of it and i want to live freely in someone's absence or presence. What is the solution:- -Should i start meditating, try more to focus on my consciousness, mindful, self awareness, analysing myself, attention practice. Or - instead of focusing on Consciousness topic should i just directly try talk to everyone i meet, self talk, try speak more and more, only practical work. WHAT SHOULD I DO. Also it's been more than 3 weeks since your last video was uploaded, hoping to get a new masterpiece soon😘

I Lean conservative for sure in politics- I’m a bit liberal in my daily life but this is how I see it In times of peace and success it’s a great time to be liberal minded: grow, try new things, find new ways to love and accept/change the status quo As international tensions rise and war becomes closer and closer it is more sensible to double down on what you know works and will keep our current situation from getting worse When progressive thoughts flood during times of war is when a large amount of disagreement seems to take place

But what creates the war?
@niltomega29789 ай бұрын
@@ActualizedOrg Most likely an enemy who is not looking at the world through your rose colored glasses. Wars are usually fought over territories and resources. I think the OP's point is that once war is on, liberalism doesn't not have much to add to the fight. War is a sad reality and we always have to be ready for it.

It's true; there's still a few minutes of the video left, so maybe you will adress it, but in case it's not there: it would be wonderful if you would/could address the different takes on homelessness too. Politicians always blame mental health as the reason for people living on the streets, but I think we both know that it's not really the case. And also: I really think this world craves people with your openness. People need authentic role models like yourself.

In America we don't have a robust wellfare state. So of course addicts and mentally ill will live on the streets. Fixing that would require a EU-style wellfare state with EU-level taxes. Which Americans do not vote for.

Both the “liberal mind” and “conservative mind” imagine threats within their environment. The difference in perceived threats is related to the quality and quantity of consumed influences. “Man does not live by bread alone…” You are not only what you eat, but what you see, hear and touch.
