i live in a state where it snows, rains and has shitty roads which meant i spent money i worked for to get my car aligned every few months. since it has new shocks, struts and new rear coil springs in getting it to the shop to have it realigned and a brake bleed since i had it in storage for about 2mo

I totally get it-living in an area with snow, rain, and rough roads can really take a toll on your car’s alignment. It’s great to hear you’re taking good care of your vehicle with new shocks, struts, and coil springs. Regular alignment checks are definitely important in such conditions, as potholes and uneven roads can knock things out of place pretty quickly. As for the brake bleed after storage, that’s a smart move! Air in the brake lines or moisture build-up can cause issues, so getting that done will ensure your braking system is working at its best. Keep up the good work.

@@motoringmasters much appreciated. the car has new parts like suspension, control arms, a new tie rod, new wheels, tires, and more since it's an older vehicle it needed it 100%

Totally your prerogative but that's crazy excessive. I drive all day everyday for work and maybe do an alignment every 7 or 8 months or so. But it's a good mindset to have, so I can't really fault ya if that's what you want to spend your money on

@@d-rockanomaly9243 i get my alignment done a bit more than usual cuz where i live it rains and snows which causes pot holes over time and the state cheaps out by filling the pot holes which is why i plan to leave said state when in more financially stable

You forget to mention that before starting the alignment you need to lock the steering wheel in neutral position.

However in the real life, adjusting alignments cannot be done every 10000km or 1 year. Do you agree my big brothers??

Usually cars need maintenance after every 10000 KM, I guess you should keep in mind to align your wheels 🤓

My Acura MDX 2015 has serious right side pull when I am accelerating 40km/hr and beyond. I have been to Super Lube Mechanic and Honda dealership, but they could not find anything wrong! It does not happen when deceleration or speed is less than 40km/hr, and only pull to the right side. Any suggestion?
@motoringmasters2 күн бұрын
1.Uneven tire wear can cause pulling. Swapping the tires from front to rear or side to side might help rule this out. 2.A slightly sticking caliper or uneven brake pad wear might not be obvious during inspection but can cause a pull. 3.Torque steer can cause a pull to one side during acceleration. This can happen if there’s uneven wear in the drivetrain, such as a worn CV joint, axle shaft, or differential issue. 4.Even if the alignment seems fine at a glance, there could be subtle problems like unequal caster or camber angles that manifest only under acceleration. Hopefully, this helps! Let me know how it goes! 😊

Wheel alignment is also important if your vehicle is parked and not moved for a very long period of time

I have a 2017 civic EX, I understand that the caster is not adjustable in this car. But is itmeasurable, my car does not track correctly following an accident.
@motoringmasters2 күн бұрын
Yes, the caster angle on your 2017 Civic EX is measurable, even though it's not adjustable from the factory. Most alignment shops should have the tools to measure caster as part of a full alignment check. If your car isn’t tracking correctly after an accident, it’s possible the caster angle or other suspension geometry has been affected. While the caster itself can’t be adjusted directly, it might be corrected indirectly by replacing or repairing bent suspension components like control arms, struts, or subframe mounts. I recommend taking your Civic to a reputable alignment shop or collision repair specialist who can perform a detailed suspension and alignment inspection. Let them know the car has been in an accident so they can pay extra attention to potential frame or suspension misalignment.

After a recent alignment, my cars wheels started moving when going over broken uneven roads causing steering movements without any input and unstable. Went back to the garage and they said one of the toe rod is ceased and replaced it. It still hasn’t completely stopped and it’s annoying me a lot. It has sucked the joy out of my driving. What could be causing this?

What does alignment cost?
@motoringmasters2 күн бұрын
The cost of an alignment can vary depending on your location and the type of vehicle you have. It's always a good idea to check with local shops for specific pricing, as some may offer deals or include alignments as part of other services.

I live in a country that has terrible roads and most people live in places that are only accessible form gravel roads. Most mechanic techs recommend checking the alignment every 3 months.
