This was the best genocide run that I've found for seeing the differences, Chara is correctly named (not Hitler or Douche or whatever (really takes the enjoyment out of it for me)), the dialogue is at a nice readable pace, the video is marked so one can skip ahead, you seem like you know what you are doing. It's really mostly just like watching a movie. I also liked how you only showed the game icon and the windowed game at the end there. Thank you so much for this.

Yeah when you first meet Sans in the Genocide Route he says to himself "(gee, lady, you really know how to pick 'em, huh...?)" so even if you never had the date with Sans at MTT and never finished a True Pacifist Route, you still should be able to figure out that Sans was not referring to the protagonist as "old lady" and was instead referring to the lady he mentioned before. And disregarding all that, Sans wouldn't call the protagonist "old lady" since the protagonist wears a striped shirt so they must be a kid.

Alternative theory: She evacuated everyone to the True Lab, as literally stated by Mettaton. (1:21:35) It's less of a theory and more of a fact. Also, she definitely didn't commit suicide, as on the "fail to kill everyone in Hotland before Mettaton" run, she calls you at the end of the game, and it's unlikely that a difference of a few deaths in Hotland would be the difference between her ending her life and not.

I've never watched an Undertale playthrough, and I knew little about the game. I went in, knowing Toriel dies, but I expected it to be much later, after you form an attachment of some sorts. Nope! I also didn't really know anything about sans, but his death genuinely made me sad, because he's just a really chill guy. When he called out to Papyrus, just knowing that he was calling out to someone already dead, and when he walked off screen and you heard him fade away, it just GOT me. Anyways, I really liked this playthrough, it was super good, as it was at a pace where I could actually read what was happening was super helpful.

So I actually use the Genocide strategy to grid Gold in the Pacifist route, essentially just sparing enemies over and over until I have enough to buy something. At the moment I don’t plan to do the Genocide route, so it’s nice that the route’s strategy can be used for other things.

After a week of playing this final boss for 4 to 8 hours a day i finally beat sans while on xbox using a controller. the part that is weird is that i have been playing almost all of the attempts i had while sitting, but the one few times i actually stood up off of what i was sitting on i actually beat sans. i saw a lot of playthroughs and knew that when sans is hitting you against a wall to raise some bones and every time you jumped a full jump i knew they used a keyboard to hold all arrow keys so they didnt have to time the jump and it was a bit cheesy. im talking every jump from that same attack every attack. but im not here to just complain ok, im here to basically tell you no matter if you have a broken joystick (like i had) or an old controller you can still beat sans. i played this route joystickless only using the D-pad and it was a nightmare to get those 10-28-40 monster kills in a given area, without the hold up and down arrow key to cheese getting into fights. i beat undying with a D-pad and i finally beat sans with a D-pad. god that moment when i realised that the last circle blast attack happened and i had 21 health and got to only 1 after the bone jump across the corridor, i knew i lost that attempt, but really i didnt think i could do it and i still tried my best ,and would you know i actually did pass the blaster attack. god my reaction was a part of speechless, couldnt breath, wanting to scream but couldnt as it was 8 o clock in the morning and i live with sleeping family, and just nervousness as i was shaking from then on till i did the final blow to sans. dont be held back by your disadvantages or flaws, and dont give up when you think you cant do something.

who do you mean heal? sans or player? sans wasn't hurt - he was tired, so healing wouldn't do much. And as for the player - well that sparing option is there because the game is just doing that - it still tries to convince the player to stop that genocide run - papyrus tried to spare the player as well. It's one of the game's messages - the cruelty of the player to kill even though he has the option to stop (and it doesn't matter that those are just pixels).

I did actually try to do a Genocide route yesterday after finishing the neutral one in which Undyne became ruler and Sans hated me (my story, is that Frisk is trying to find a permanent way to defeat Flowey). The plan, after accepting to reset the world, was to cripple the monster society by killing the strongest of them, since it was clear Flowey wanted us to spare everybody in order to use them later on. Maybe life would be static for a while, but eventually, new stronger souls could rise and restart life, after the flower was gone. Snowdin however showed the true lenghts I would have to go to be on equal ground with Flowey. I had to abort it right there and then. And even if not at that time, I would have most likely aborted it by the time I reached Monster Kid. Still, the Genocide hour I went through wasn't completely useless. I gained some useful knowledge through it. And, it allowed me to see the more likable side of Papyrus. Still, my Frisk needs to find a new way to defeat Flowey. So, I'm sorry for Undyne, but she's going to be my test subject. She and Asgore are almost on the same power level as the talking flower. This time, I can not back down. I need to defeat her. Maybe I can learn some new strategy through her defeat.

generally geno/no mercy is considered the hardest. pacifist can be challenging at times since u have 20 HP the whole way through and by the late game u can only sustain 4-5 hits but like, not to the point where you have to perform 20+ attempts just to memorize every single attack pattern like u gotta do w sans and undying. Even the final bosses of neutral and pacifist at 20HP arent as hard as them really
