When i hear this i imagine a different type of a battle that Sans would like to do. Instead of doing hardcore attacks and he would focus fully on dodging your attacks. You would get frustrated just as much as in the canon battle, but not by constant game overs, but by the lack of progress. now THAT'S how someone like Sans deals with people that bother him.

3 years late... but this have me some ideas gimmick wise: - time counters. You have a time limit in which you have to choose your options, or else it'll just skip the players turn completely. Sans also has a stamina timer. Lack of repeatedly attacking Sans' will lead to his stamina rocketing back towards the max, meaning he won't get tired. So if there is a prolonged stay in the already timed turn, or too much turns are skipped, he becomes back to full capacity.

The only reason 1.5 sounds slower is because of the way music keys and pitch shifting translates in our brains. When music is pitch AND speed shifted, our brains automatically associate the lower pitch with a slower tempo. Even if you were to speed it back up but keep the pitch, it would feel slower unless significantly faster (say at least 115% the original pitch). You know how those optical illusions that trick your brain into thinking things are different sizes even though they're the same size? Think of this as a good example of how to do that with the ears, if you would. Also, youtube doesn't pitch shift when you change the video speed. Hence the glitchy, distorted sound in .5.

If you think about it... This is Sans' view on the fight. Chara killed everyone. Chara is the happy one, the one who wants to fight, the one who brought Sans here. Sans is here against his will, fighting a demon he can only hold off for so long. Regular Megalovania is Chara's theme. This is Sans' theme.
