Thanks for the rand m8! If I remember correctly when I bought the card used, the factory seal sticker on the screw hadn’t been tampered with, the card ran at 100C even after I repasted it, thinking it would solve the issue. I believed this is just how the card was because my repaste didn’t help. Even after repasting for these tests I was still getting 100C, but during the making the video the temps were now under 100C, still hot, but way better than it was. Either the paste needed time to cure, or my case swap that happened between my initial numbers, and the live undervolting section may have affected this too. I moved from an MSI MAG FORGE 100R (3 total case fans) to a DIYPC DIY-TG8-BR (total of 5 case fans with a missing side panel)

@@YogertPCYou're welcome. I think the extra airflow and undervolting made the improvement. As far as the temps, that must have been embarrassing for AMD if true.

I was unaware of this issue. Looking around, it seems mobile cards lost the ability to tune since after 23.3.1 drivers. The solution may be to revert to such driver which could have the downsides of lacking optimized support for newer titles. The solution could also be to check laptop manufacturers drivers and revert back to OEM drivers since they may have the better support. Im not sure what the solution is in your case, or for any mobile GPU user, but this may be a place to start

I think my biggest problem with undervolting is that I work my way down. Your approach of working your way up seems a lot less stressful lol.

5700xt, main issue is it's an msi, they never cared about doing well with AMD, same reason they don't make Radeon cards any more, XFX, Sapphire and Powercolor are way better AIB's

@@YogertPC Some would argue they just don't make good GPUs at all, my GFs brother was selling his 3080Ti and most of the Msi cards listed on eBay were listed as spare or repair, it's basically a joke at this point.
