Ive always been hesitant in using certain baits and i know im missing out. Jigs, crankbaits and lipless baits have always been a struggle of mine. I have plenty of confidence baits like plastic worms, top water and spinnerbaits but more is to be desired. These jig tips are definitely helpful in boosting my confidence in trying the baits the proper way. Ive been guilty of using the wrong gear, wrong line, and wrong location but if i can take one wrong out of my game then my chances are going up. Thanks for the tips as always!

This is exactly why I have so much trouble with jigs. I can hardly catch a fish on a jig. I get bites but never get a hook into them or barely hook and one head shake and they are gone. Now I can see exactly why. Thanks for all you do.

Nice vid … here is a trick I learned 10 years ago while fishing Table Rock lake when I drove an hour and forgot my tackle box. I paddled out to a bass boat and met one of the guides, he was kind enough to give me some skirtless jigs and hula grubs. He taught me to trim the claws on them. I never had faith in jigs but I caught a ton of fish. After watching this vid, it now makes perfect sense. Another tip is trimming the weed guard to the hook.

Wow! Love the underwater footage. I agree totally that I have missed bites many times because I set hook too hard when they are just biting the claws of my jig trailers. Summertime bites I can usually set the hook hard the first time I feel a bite. Wintertime bites like you said are usually much more subtle

Im not losing nearly as many but it did take alot of practice ..good footage

I fish a ton but usually stick baits hardly ever jig fish because I've never been comfortable with or it seemed like I wasn't doing it right. Have watched a few of these so far and I realized I am doing a lot wrong. Gives me a little more confidence with jigs, and worms.

I was in a similar spot to you a year ago. So I started with a finesse jig on the same set up I use my Ned’s Neko’s and Jerks. 7”2 medium braid to floro. When they’re on beds or anywhere near the bottom those little jigs slay. And work your way up from there if ya want. But you throw whatever catches em

@Goaty McGoatface I wasn't trying to teach anything. I wasn't even talking crap, I was just saying live worms and plastic aren't the same. I've caught countless fish on live worms but not a single one on a plastic worm. That's all i was trying to get at.
