You could of read every article that has ever been published on pellet and maggot fishing and still not learned as much as this video has taught us. Ringer and bagger are the best combo to present this type of video as they are both on the same wavelength and bounce ideas off each other. A new presenting duo that can definitely compete with the other angling double act !

Really really entertaining. A great watch.! And these guys work so well as a comedy act, Andy taking the mick and Steve falling for it. Seriously though this will be watched over and over again. A fantastic insight. Well done to all at Guru. Massive thank you to Andy and Steve.

Wow. I didn’t think these videos could get any better. We need to give Guru and the anglers a lot of credit here for giving us this content. It’s fantastic. If I learnt something from this its the amount of fish that felt more comfortable eating micros than anything and also lifting and dropping because you never know if your hook bait has dropped into a crevice.

Love the relationship between two of the very best, humour and mick taking is great, but their passion for the sport is always relevant.

I recently restarted match fishing here in Italy. After growing up in Cornwall fishing at White Acres, Porth reservoir and later Decoy Lakes near Peterborough. Here the fishing is strictly restricted by tactic (i.e. I fish pole only matches, between 9 and 13m) Pellet is not allowed on the hook, so corn and maggots dominate. In two successive weeks I drew the same peg. A favored area but week one I finished last in section out of 10 (almost last overall out of 60) to the next week where I finished 2nd in section and second overall from 30 anglers. My wife asked me she didnt understand where a successful angler differed from non. The end summary is the same as what I expressed. It is the decisions one makes during a match. Line length, thickness, hook size, feed amount, Float size, shotting pattern and the list goes on. The decisions make the difference. Thanks guys for an entertaining AND useful video. p.s. if you ever want to come to Rome and video underwater Carassio here I will gladly show you around. 😉🍷

So many things to pick up from this, I've fished slightly off bottom so many times and never realised it could make that much difference between fish completely ignoring the bait and hoovering it up ...... The difference between 4mm expander and 6mm expander when their mouth could easily take it they just don't fancy it ...... The amount of bites that I've cursed myself for missing when they would have been liners all along ...... The bulk that close to the hookbait spooking them ..... The list goes on. Hope we're going to get a gogglebox style reaction video with other guru and korda staff again.

Does this tell us to start on micro's to get the fish in your swim and use small light baits on the hook, so much still missing from this, superb footage though.

Instead of leaning forward why not try shipping the pole out the extra needed to compensate the cad pots to make it more accurate?
@jayjay199o7 сағат бұрын
So the secret is 1 homeing ball of bait tight so theres a homeing point a little bit of spreading always atracts more fish and a vital part that was never explained is taking your time lowering it through that last 3rd in the layers of water becuase sight is everything when it comes to how f1s feed 👍

Very interesting! A lot of changes really didn’t make a difference, it was a time on spot building the swim that mattered. I would say Steve Ringer needs to keep abit more quiet and retroactively change things. Not live Changing it. Let Bennet do his thing and change by watching it back.
@jamietaylor40720 сағат бұрын
What I’ve taken from this is that the hookbait (expander) isn’t attractive enough to the fish. Maybe should have looked to scale down the hookbait to a 2-3mm expander so it looks more uniform with the micros
@Andyfishing2315 сағат бұрын
@@jamietaylor407 My thoughts too.
@mattc243122 сағат бұрын
Great series but it's not a fair test because your in the winter or late autumn and the others look to be late spring to late summer if anything it should be a summer series and a winter series
@Mark-mo6gt22 сағат бұрын
Did they say something about the water clarity for filming is only in colder months so no chance in summer when water is coloured???
@mattc243121 сағат бұрын
@@Mark-mo6gt they did but two reasons one the others wasnt filmed around this time and they was a hit and two the cold puts fish off feeding as much in the winter which is a fact therefore its not a fair test keeping within the series i am not trying to put a downer on it at all its good but i think they would of got a better result and being able to try more as fish would of been feeding more a margin series would also be very interesting
@FISHINGMINTY5 сағат бұрын
This video wasn't a comparison between pole fishing and feeder fishing though - It was a comparison of different pole rigs / baits / techniques all within this recording period.
@mattc24314 сағат бұрын
@FISHINGMINTY thought I get what your saying like any fishing different methods work better in diffrent parts of the year like waggler fishing is probably more suited to summer as maggot feeder is to winter fishing
