Great tutorial & a very worthwhile cause. As a professional diver for about 20 years I now take a bag with me on every dive just to collect rubbish in which 10 years ago I wouldn't have had to do. Clear plastic bags that fishermen buy their bait in are probably the worst as they're often mistaken by turtles for jellyfish & eat them. Take care 👍🏼🦘

Thank you Nigel! How cool that you are a professional diver, but all the more poignant to hear your direct experience with this problem. Especially the thing about the bags and turtles, i’ve heard about it before and it really saddens me to my core to hear these things. Thanks for watching the video, I hope it will take off so I can give as much money as possible to the cause!

@@KaizenTutorials I'm sure "Team Seas" will appreciate your effort raising money for them, whether it's a lot or a little every dollar helps & they'll be grateful for it. My diving is now confined to weekends & the very rare day I can get away from Graphic design. I managed to create a niche market for myself in 3d artwork & I have regular clients so it keeps me busy. 👍🏼🦘

Thanks, yeah I hope I can raise a lot before the deadline. And else I’ll just put in some of my own, because the cause is to important not to. But that sounds great! What niche might that be? If you’re willing to share ofcourse. I’m orignally a Graphic Designer/Art Director myself! So professional interest you might say haha

@@KaizenTutorials Well this might sound strange but I work with several chef's who make wedding, birthday or special occasion cakes for the more wealthy clients. I draw up a 3d render for the client according to their requirements so they have a fair representation of what the finished cake will look like. The render is first submitted to the patisserie chef & he decides if it looks realistic or to perfect. When you look at a McDonalds menu & all the pictures of the burgers are perfect but the real thing looks nothing like the picture on the menu. I have to model something the chef can make not a perfect cake. Some cakes can cost $10,000 AU & more so the chefs use me as an insurance policy against clients who would say "That cake is not what I wanted" the chef has a 3d render with the clients signature on it so there's no arguments.

Aaah that’s like doing animation, where a storyboard needs to be signed off before actually doing any animation. But yeah, that sounds pretty sweet (pun intended 😉) and fun to do! And it makes sense, considering the prices you really don’t want any unnecessary arguments. Great that you found your niche like that 👍🏻

Are there any missing steps after 6:10? I followed everything but the cookie plane is still blocking all lights, are there additional steps to apply cutouts?
@KaizenTutorials2 жыл бұрын
Make sure to change the material settings blend mode (under setting tab in the material tab) to Alpha Blend! Also make sure you are inputting the 'Color' output from the color ramp into the Alpha of the Principled BSDF and NOT the 'Alpha' output. Hope this helps!

Is the anisotropy trick a "hack"? Or is it actually recreating the actual physical phenomena that makes it darker at the bottom?
@KaizenTutorials2 жыл бұрын
Basically anisotropy is the way a material changes or assumes different properties in different directions. So it makes sense that it does what it does. However I’m no science expert by any means and I don’t know if it’s a true-to-life recreation of how light fades in different directions..

Hello not sure if u still respond but in the shading section of the video, how do I get 2 tabs of object mode and video mode? Also I accidentally make the object mode in shading full screen so I am unable to see the ocean and the turtle, how do I revert that? Not sure if you understand. But wonderful video.
@KaizenTutorials9 ай бұрын
You can make windows fullscreen by pressing CTRL+ALT+Spacebar. PRessing it again makes it small again. To get multiple windows just click on any corner of a window and drag in a new window. You can then change the window type at the top left corner. Hope that helps!

Great Tutorial! I hope your video helps you generate enough revenue for #TeamSeas. Such a noble cause 🙏🏼 I completed making the animation but when I go into camera view, I just see black. I have added the light, god rays, volume density is 0.02 but I do not what is happening in it. I used Blender 3.0 (29 Nov build) for making it. When I go out of camera mode in rendered view only and zoom out to see the volume cube, then I see all the colours and everything Also can you help as when I make all paths relative, it says that two turtle textures are missing but I cant find those two textures in the sea turtle textures
@KaizenTutorials2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! In regards to the turtle textures, you might need to redownload the model from Sketchfab? The textures should be in there. for me they even automatically got applied to the model when importing it into Blender. On the other problem I find it hard to pinpoint what's going wrong. Are you sure there is not some object blocking the camera or anything? If you want you can send me some screenshots to better show the issue via e-mail at kaizentutorials@gmail.com

I’m curious how when you go into shader mode your project isn’t all grainy looking, it’s a sharp crisp picture
@KaizenTutorials2 жыл бұрын
I think it looks sharper than it is due to the compression KZbin applies on videos. But what I've got enabled is denoising in the Viewport. It's a setting under the Render Properties in Cycles.
