Islam was the original Religion descended to earth from heaven with Adam and Eve (peace and blessing be upon them) in the beginning of humanity. and was passed to people with the succession of the 124 000 prophets and 315 messengers of God to all nations and civilizations since, passing by Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Ismaël, Joseph, Moses, Aaron, Joshua, David, Solomon and Jesus (Peace and blessing be upon them) during the history of mankind, the last replaces and completes the previous, until the succession of the last messenger of God fourteen centuries ago, Muhammad (Peace and blessing be upon him) to complete the noble morals of all mankind, to bring humans and jinns out of darkness into light, and to purify people's religion and belief from corruption and polytheism, and return it to purity and true monotheism, like it was in the times of the prophets (Peace and blessing be upon them). Many Religions that we know nowadays, at their beginning were true and under Islam, initiated by one of the prophets of God, but their original teachings, history and scriptures have been corrupted over time with falsification and polytheism, or lost and replaced with false ones. That's why Islam is the only Religion accepted by God nowadays, which consists in bearing witness that there is no god besides Allah (God in Aramaic, the original language of Jesus and the Gospel), and that Muhammad is His servant and messenger, just like Jesus and Moses and others are His servants and messengers. Never a messenger of God said he was God or literally son of God, it was the people after him who changed the words of God and corrupted the Religion. God is unique and absolute, He does not need to have a family and sons or to associate anyone else with His kingdom, He can simply create whatever He wants, everything belongs to Him, and to Him everything will return. Allah said in Surah Al-Mu’minun : “God has never begotten a son, nor is there any god besides Him. Otherwise, each god would have taken away what it has created, and some of them would have gained supremacy over others. Glory be to God, far beyond what they describe. The Knower of the hidden and the manifest. He is exalted, far above what they associate. (91-92 / Translated by ITANI). Allah means the one and only God, the God of all prophets and creatures, the creator of the universe and mankind, and the Master of the Day of judgment, where our destiny, Hell or Paradise, is decided based on our faith and deeds in this trial life, and above all, Allah's mercy. Allah said in Surah Al-Ikhlas : In the name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful. Say, “He is God, the One. God, the Absolute. He begets not, nor was He begotten. And there is none comparable to Him.” (1-4 / Translated by ITANI). Allah said in Surah An-Nisa : O FOLLOWERS of the Gospel! Do not overstep the bounds [of truth] in your religious beliefs, and do not say of God anything but the truth. The Christ Jesus, son of Mary, was but God's Apostle - [the fulfilment of] His promise which He had conveyed unto Mary - and a soul created by Him. Believe, then, in God and His apostles, and do not say, "[God is] a trinity". Desist [from this assertion] for your own good. God is but One God; utterly remote is He, in His glory, from having a son: unto Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth; and none is as worthy of trust as God. Never did the Christ feel too proud to be God's servant, nor do the angels who are near unto Him. And those who feel too proud to serve Him and glory in their arrogance [should know that on Judgment Day] He will gather them all unto Himself: (171-172 / Translated by Muhammad Asad). Allah the Most Merciful said in Surah Ali-Imran : Behold, the only [true] religion in the sight of God is [man's] self-surrender unto Him; and those who were vouchsafed revelation aforetime took, out of mutual jealousy, to divergent views [on this point] only after knowledge [thereof] had come unto them. But as for him who denies the truth of God's messages - behold, God is swift in reckoning! Thus, [O Prophet,] if they argue with thee, say, "I have surrendered my whole being unto God, and [so have] all who follow me!" - and ask those who have been vouchsafed revelation aforetime, as well as all unlettered people, "Have you [too] surrendered yourselves unto Him?" And if they surrender themselves unto Him, they are on the right path; but if they turn away - behold, thy duty is no more than to deliver the message: for God sees all that is in [the hearts of] His creatures. Throughout history, Chile has become one of the countries with the highest seismic activity in the world. In fact, in 1960 it suffered the most serious earthquake that has been recorded in the world to date with a magnitude of 9.6 Mw, with 10 minutes long. It was May 22, 1960 when the southern part of the country suffered a strong earthquake in the Arauca peninsula. This situation was repeated on a similar scale 24 hours later, causing a tsunami on the Calle-Calle river of Valdivia that flooded the towns of Concepción and Chiloé.

We have many earthquakes in Chile and their overall magnitude are large but the ground acceleration (localized measure of movement at specific locations) are very often much lower than much smaller earthquakes elsewhere. So our earthquakes are not necessarily "the worst" in terms of impact on buildings and people. We do however have a history with constant tsunamis, ranging from small (take boats and boathouses, and cleans out harbours) and large that enter further inland like 2010. Tsunamis occur with almost all major earthquakes on our underwater fault and the difference is really just a question of how large. Which is why we should start relocating coastal towns to the hills especially public services such as health centres, schools, police and fire stations shouldn't be located in inundation zones as they are today. Almost half of Valparaíso and Viñas emergency and police services are located in the inundation area, which means emergency response capacity will be halved in case of major tsunami. In other words when you most need them they will be crippled.

I experienced an 6.8 earthquake when I was in Algeria in 2003 and I know what our friends in Syria and Turkey are going through now. I wouldn't wish it to my worst enemy. life is so short… seeing these clips when everyone is running together towards the same direction for safety the surveillance stops right there security guards leaving their stations like everyone else, it’s worthwhile to know that we shouldn’t judge every person we see as a potentially bad person, it’s got so unsettled in the world where we don’t think good of anyone anymore. these tragedies show us that life is fragile and we should really learn to treat each-other much better with respect and love ❤️

6:50 I still clearly remember the quake. It was also felt in our province, which is a considerable distance from where it really happened. It was summer vacation at the time, and me and my cousin were playing Minecraft on the second floor of our house. The ground suddenly shook and when it stopped, we were like, "WTF was that?", and quickly went downstairs. Once we went downstairs, the neighborhood was filled with buzz about what just happened. Thankfully, no one was hurt and there weren't any significant damage to property.

The freaky thing was that less than 24 hours later, a slightly more powerful earthquake happened in Eastern Samar. I remember watching the news at home about what happened there in Luzon, when the earthquake happened

did you see into the future? 2 days after you posted there has been a big 7.8 earthquake in Turkey that was felt as far away as Cyprus ...sadly there has been a large loss of life as it happened in the early hrs when everyone was in bed ....R.I.P to all those that have lost their lives in turkey and Syria in this awful quake!

Many Religions that we know nowadays, at their beginning were true and under Islam, initiated by one of the prophets of God, but their original teachings, history and scriptures have been corrupted over time with falsification and polytheism, or lost and replaced with false ones. That's why Islam is the only Religion accepted by God nowadays, which consists in bearing witness that there is no god besides Allah (God in Aramaic, the original language of Jesus and the Gospel), and that Muhammad is His servant and messenger, just like Jesus and Moses and others are His servants and messengers. Never a messenger of God said he was God or literally son of God, it was the people after him who changed the words of God and corrupted the Religion. God is unique and absolute, He does not need to have a family and sons or to associate anyone else with His kingdom, He can simply create whatever He wants, everything belongs to Him, and to Him everything will return. Allah said in Surah Al-Mu’minun : “God has never begotten a son, nor is there any god besides Him. Otherwise, each god would have taken away what it has created, and some of them would have gained supremacy over others. Glory be to God, far beyond what they describe. The Knower of the hidden and the manifest. He is exalted, far above what they associate. (91-92 / Translated by ITANI). Allah means the one and only God, the God of all prophets and creatures, the creator of the universe and mankind, and the Master of the Day of judgment, where our destiny, Hell or Paradise, is decided based on our faith and deeds in this trial life, and above all, Allah's mercy. Allah said in Surah Al-Ikhlas : In the name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful. Say, “He is God, the One. God, the Absolute. He begets not, nor was He begotten. God is but One God; utterly remote is He, in His glory, from having a son: unto Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth; and none is as worthy of trust as God. Never did the Christ feel too proud to be God's servant, nor do the angels who are near unto Him. And those who feel too proud to serve Him and glory in their arrogance [should know that on Judgment Day] He will gather them all unto Himself: (171-172 / Translated by Muhammad Asad). I live in Alaska and went through the 2018 earthquake. It was very close to my house. Small correction, Anchorage is not the capital, that's Juneau. We were very fortunate that the damage was minimal almost everywhere. In the intervening years since then more damage has come to light but our buildings are built to earthquake specs and there was no loss of life.

That Earthquake in Kathmandu (25th April 2015) also affected North and Eastern India, i was on the 4th floor at my school and i remember my whole building shaking with the earthquake of magnitude 7.7, the earthquake horrified me so bad i couldn't sleep that night as i talked to some of my relatives who were facing crisis in Nepal. The earthquake again hit us after 2 days (27th April) with a magnitude of 7.5-7.7 School and colleges were shut down for a few days. And again after a few days (12th May) the shaking came back with a magnitude of 7.3 Seriously those days were one of the most horrifying experiences of my life

I was so young that time my mother was pregnant with my lil brother and couldn't run so my father went to help her while my aunt took me downstairs and across the road in the huge play area I was crying and praying to gadnesh which I was holding in my hand tightly and the same day my mother was taken to Patan and hospital where my bhauju (sis in law) worked because it was time for my brothers due date too so my father and my mother were at the hospital and although I was rly close to my aunt like she was like my second mom I still wanted to be in my mother arms where I felt safe and with my father but even though my aunt was there I still feel like I had to experience that gorkhali earthquake on my own but I am truly grateful to my aunt and thulo baba who still put me first risking their life and not sleeping until I slept especially my aunt just wish I could say that to her now but sadly she isn't here anymore

1994 Northridge (CA) Earthquake....I've been through many earthquakes growing up in California, but the 1994 quake was horrifying. With a vertical lift, it knocked over most all of the furniture in our home, walked our piano across the carpet to the center of the room, and nearly demolished our 8 yr old's bedroom. I couldn't even get to her because the doorway was blocked.

I remember that day quite well! A college football recruiter was coming to our house to offer my son a full ride scholarship the next day. This was his first earthquake. He said the hotel he was staying in swayed so much, he felt like it would tip over. My son didn’t take that scholarship, he went with a different school. I was in Las Vegas when the shock wave went through from that quake. I worked at night and was asleep at first, but woke up when my bed started dancing across the floor. I sat up but had to lie back down because it felt like I was having a stroke . It was my first earthquake and I wasn't sure I'd like to ride out anymore, or be near the epicenter of one. Sometime later, there was an earthquake in St. George, Utah, that I had to ride out when the shock wave came through, but that was easier to handle, as I saw the wave coming. It's a wonder, as strong as the Northridge wave was, that there was no real damage to any of the hotels or casinos in Las Vegas.

Some are more rolling, some are a jiggle, some sway more and then there was the vertical lift of the Northridge quake. It was like someone was picking up the ground and quickly jerking everything up and down. Blood curdling for me. My husband was trying to keep me from running out of the room, but I had to get to our daughter. Dishes and glassware were falling on top of me as I ran through the kitchen. Adrenaline baby! I'll withstand ANY kind of quake that isn't a vertical lift:(

The St. George earthquake was easier to get through because I could see the wave coming so I just sat down and rode it out as the building I was in (much of it glass) rose ahead of me, then around me, and then behind. I still remember the earthquake and tsunami in Banda Aceh, Indonesia. We felt it all the way to West Sumatera, Padang. I dont remember the actual number of the EQ but it was one of the worst i've ever felt, and there were several when I was growing up there. We were all sleeping on the street that night, no school, no work. And then there was aftershock like a few days after, we were at school. Teacher gathered us outside, and when it calmed down, we were sent home. Eq still terrifies me to this day. Watching this vids make my body cold :(

I felt and heard the Northridge quake in California before it happened in 1994. It literally felt like we were dropping and going side to side three to four feet at the same time. Well, I felt and heard it before it happened. It literally sounded like the Earth crunching, several moments before we even started to shake at all. I also see a lot of things in dreams before/when they happen. I'm on par with the animals with these natural disasters as far as sensing things. And not just natural disasters. Not saying it's a great gift to have, but yeah, I woke up before because I heard it. People just get on and troll to say negative things just to say negative things. Probably don't remember this, or never was taught this coming but if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. I'm not here to prove to anybody what has happened. I also predicted a great many things in the pandemic including how long people would be in masks, how many people would die, and about the vaccines. Like I said, it does not always feel like a great gift to have, but I am grateful for it. I'm predicted a great many things, Christians call it the gift of prophecy. Whether the actual crunching sound was part of my gift or some scientific explanation as to a sound that is heard before the rumbling, I'm not 100% sure. I just know that everyone in our building that woke up with the shaking, some were already up and nobody heard the sounds that I described.

I went through the Loma Prieta Quake in 1989. Yes, there was a loud rumble as the earthquake rocked towards my neighbor hood. The movement was almost like a large wave in the ocean. I could see large trees rocking back and forth.

Along with my family, we experienced that earthquake in Clark. We just exited the Clark Airport moments before the earthquake occured and we were already inside the van as we are on our way back to Metro Manila. I could tell you how intense the earthquake was inside the van. I could compare that earthquake to driving into a very damaged road on high speed. The earthquake lasted about 5 seconds or more. That was my first time experiencing that such earthquake. Thankfully, we got out from the Clark Airport just before the earthquake occurred. The intensity of the earthquake made some structures in the airport to fall apart. Thankfully, no one died during that event.

​@@marlafowler3543 kinda, but not at the same time. Yes, in some countries they are taught to duck under tables, in others they are taught to stay beside a table in the called triangle of life. Also, you are taught that sometimes you can't even do that and you will just *know it* so your best chance it's to immediately evacuate. And then you have to think about the sea and how close you are to it since you need to be in a safety zone (always upwards: to the last floor of a high building or to the highest ground) by ten minutes or less before the first wave hits. Oh, and let's not forget if this is a country with earthquake culture because that will also improve your chances of survival. For example, Chile and Japan have earthquake proof constructions (don't build wood houses like the United States) so your only focus is to remain calm and evacuate but in countries where earthquakes aren't common then you also need to consider that the building you are in will most likely fall beneath your feet.

You do know the maximum it can be, though. The maximum possible magnitude of an earthquake is determined by the length of the fault line it's on. As for whether you'll survive, that really depends on where you are and how well the buildings and structures around you were built. Either they're engineered to the maximum possible earthquake for the location and you're fine, or they're not and you're at risk.

I have been through one earthquake, it was something like a 4-4.5 or so, was only a few miles from the epicenter, but it wasn’t bad for us. There was some minor damage to some places, mostly things like plates falling or things. This was back in maybe 2014 or 2015. The thing is, this happened near Galesburg, Michigan. Earthquakes just don’t happen in Michigan, so I honestly had no idea what it was. Felt the same as the passenger train that went by right next to the house I lived in at that point. A 4.5 isn’t too big though. Just strange that it happened in Michigan.

I've only been through one Earthquake in my life, and it was more the aftershock than the quake. It says something that my neighborhood (which was pretty small and rural at the time) thought it was an incompetent worker. We found out it was an earthquake after my dad later said they had evacuated his highrise. That was a fun conversation with the neighbors😆

1989 Loma Prieta (7.5) 1992 Landers (7.3) 1994 Northridge (6.7) and of course all the after shocks and various other Earthquakes. There is nothing more interesting than running out a building with drop ceiling tiles and coil ducts crashing down around you. The scary part is all those occurred over a 5 year period and I have have been back in Earthquake country since 2012. Things are about to get interesting here in California....you just can't go that long without a major quake. Strangely the one that hit the Ridgecrest area, I was near, but didn't feel...weird.

I was less than two miles from the epicenter of the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake. That motion in two directions is what we got, after one huge shock, it was two earthquakes from different directions. Our hot tub emptied half its water. Our home is older and made mostly of wood, which helped it stay up. Brick homes up the hill from us didn't do so well, one fell down the hill and all that was left was the roof of the garage, everything else tumbled down the hill.

As such; people either left work early or stayed late to attend group viewing parties. This is why traffic on the Bay Bridge and on Interstate 880 on the west side of Oakland was rather light.

Indians and Nepalis can never forget the April 25, 2015 earthquake. I was 9 years old when that happened and i still remember each and every scenario,even though the epicentre was in Nepal, powerful waves were felt in the Indian regions nearby too. Condolences to people who lost their loved ones in that disaster.

Yeah, at first it's just weak shaking then later on it's already hard to balance yourself specially when you are in upper floor because I experienced a 6.1 magnitude earthquake and before it happened, I heard a sound like thunder under the ground and it just started shaking. There are lots of after shocks too so the sound was really traumatizing.

I live in Wellington, New Zealand so quakes are pretty normal for us. I did have to smile at the we can't feel the waves that cats can feel, no but some of us have bodies that sense something in the buildup to it. Each quake leadup I start to feel shaky & really off center is the only way I can explain it such as when you've been ill. Then in the last few hours lead-up it gets worse until the quake strikes, then it goes or if I'm no longer close to where it hits the feeling goes also. I have no idea what causes it or why but I've now learnt to recognize the feelings. It can still be freaky if I've been away or go away & suddenly get it with no buildup.

Many Religions that we know nowadays, at their beginning were true and under Islam, initiated by one of the prophets of God, but their original teachings, history and scriptures have been corrupted over time with falsification and polytheism, or lost and replaced with false ones. That's why Islam is the only Religion accepted by God nowadays, which consists in bearing witness that there is no god besides Allah (God in Aramaic, the original language of Jesus and the Gospel), and that Muhammad is His servant and messenger, just like Jesus and Moses and others are His servants and messengers. Never a messenger of God said he was God or literally son of God, it was the people after him who changed the words of God and corrupted the Religion. God is unique and absolute, He does not need to have a family and sons or to associate anyone else with His kingdom, He can simply create whatever He wants, everything belongs to Him, and to Him everything will return. Allah said in Surah Al-Mu’minun : “God has never begotten a son, nor is there any god besides Him. Otherwise, each god would have taken away what it has created, and some of them would have gained supremacy over others. Glory be to God, far beyond what they describe. The Knower of the hidden and the manifest. He is exalted, far above what they associate. (91-92 / Translated by ITANI). Allah means the one and only God, the God of all prophets and creatures, the creator of the universe and mankind, and the Master of the Day of judgment, where our destiny, Hell or Paradise, is decided based on our faith and deeds in this trial life, and above all, Allah's mercy. Allah said in Surah Al-Ikhlas : In the name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful. Say, “He is God, the One. God, the Absolute. He begets not, nor was He begotten. And there is none comparable to Him.” (1-4 / Translated by ITANI). Allah said in Surah An-Nisa : O FOLLOWERS of the Gospel! Do not overstep the bounds [of truth] in your religious beliefs, and do not say of God anything but the truth. The Christ Jesus, son of Mary, was but God's Apostle - [the fulfilment of] His promise which He had conveyed unto Mary - and a soul created by Him. Believe, then, in God and His apostles, and do not say, "[God is] a trinity". Desist [from this assertion] for your own good. God is but One God; utterly remote is He, in His glory, from having a son: unto Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth; and none is as worthy of trust as God. Never did the Christ feel too proud to be God's servant, nor do the angels who are near unto Him. And those who feel too proud to serve Him and glory in their arrogance [should know that on Judgment Day] He will gather them all unto Himself: (171-172 / Translated by Muhammad Asad). Allah the Most Merciful said in Surah Ali-Imran : Behold, the only [true] religion in the sight of God is [man's] self-surrender unto Him; and those who were vouchsafed revelation aforetime took, out of mutual jealousy, to divergent views [on this point] only after knowledge [thereof] had come unto them. But as for him who denies the truth of God's messages - behold, God is swift in reckoning! Thus, [O Prophet,] if they argue with thee, say, "I have surrendered my whole being unto God, and [so have] all who follow me!" - and ask those who have been vouchsafed revelation aforetime, as well as all unlettered people, "Have you [too] surrendered yourselves unto Him?" And if they surrender themselves unto Him, they are on the right path; but if they turn away - behold, thy duty is no more than to deliver the message: for God sees all that is in [the hearts of] His creatures. Verily, as for those who deny the truth of God's messages, and slay the prophets against all right, and slay people who enjoin equity - announce unto them a grievous chastisement. I'll also probably run for my phone after a couple of seconds seeing that the building is not collapsing LOL I'd want to be able to contact my family as soon as possible to find out if they're okay. When I saw the students immediately dive under their desks, it reminded me of my freshman year in high school. My high school sat on the San Andreas fault. I was in my English class. My desk was next to the wall-length window, under a hanging light fixture, and next to a wire book spinner. We has a moderate earthquake one day, and I was the only student who got under my desk. Several other students started making fun of me, and our teacher jumped in and said if it had been a stronger earthquake with damage, I would have been the only one to escape injury.

Even today I wonder how more than half a dozen books from a shelf ended up deep under the mattress I was sleeping on. 4:31am Northridge CA earthquake.. Imagine the force, I had just moved to a 6th floor on Sepulveda Blvd a bit south of Ventura, 2 people on a mattress on the floor (about 350 lbs). I remember waking up to being lifted clear off the ground and slammed back down at least 3 times. It was brutal and the shaking so violent, that the first few seconds I had no idea what was causing it. I remember finding unbroken, some still neatly piled up plates, that had to clear the bar table area and landed on the carpet at least 20 feet away from the cabinets in the kitchen. I mean, the weird physics of seismic stuff...

I was at home during the Alaskan earthquake, the floors looked like rolling waves in the ocean and the earthquake lasted about 3 minutes, I still get paranoid to this day when I feel small tremors.

We had a 5.6 tremor in the Dominican Republic last week. Scariest feeling, I can’t imagine a stronger one. I haven’t been able to sleep well because it’s always in the back of my head that a stronger one will happen. Supposedly, we are way past the time for it to happen…every 50-70 years earthquakes have occurred here in the Dominican. Strongest one was in the 1940’s and even created a tsunami.

When I moved to San Jose my boss having english-as-a-second-language found it easier just to do a hula hula dance and point to one of the always opened dock doors. Very well acquainted with earthquakes here. Christchurch NZ 2010 - 7.1 mag very shallow earthquake and god knows how many aftershocks. Then another 6+ in 2011 that was a killer and basically destroyed the city. Over $100,000 of damage to my house. Over 3 years waiting for repairs. As for the video with the cats, we heard the quakes coming before the shaking, everyone would stop and wait for it to start. Got so used to them, that I was sitting at the table having a conversation and heard one coming, so just picked up my coffee so it wouldn't spill, and we just kept talking through it. Would have been about a 5 mag. Also used to guess strength, depth, and epicenter, got surprisingly accurate at it.
