I trust Hurts more than most QBs tbh. What matters to me are the playoffs and he's shown he doesn't completely melt down in big games. That's more than I can say for Lamar, Tua, Geno, Kyler Murray, CJ, Daniels, Herbert, Darnold, Nix. These are all guys who have not yet been in the playoffs, failed to reach super bowls, or at least play great in a conference championship. Really Hurts is on a short list among the current playoff QBs as someone who has shown they are dependable deep into a playoff run. It's Hurts, Mahomes, Russ, Stafford, Purdy, and Allen. That's it. There's nothin to question with Hurts. He's a good kid, a good leader, and he doesn't need to pad his stats... he just makes timely plays which is more than I can say for over half the starters expected to make the playoffs this season.

What's the common denominator from 2022 and this year, it's the fact that in 2022 we had an above average running back and this year he have the best running back since Adrian Peterson. I don't think anybody will argue that Jalen Hurts is at Mahomes or Josh Allen on an individual level. But for this Eagles team, he is perfect. Manages the game well, makes great passes when he needs to, will get you those extra yards on a rush out of sheer strength if needed. Literally this last week against the Ravens, there were so many no-huddle plays called by Hurts recognizing what's on the field. Jalen Hurts is not a question mark on this team. He may not be the most talented but he makes everything gel together. By the way, are we just going to ignore Philadelphia's previous matchups against Kansas City, Buffalo, etc.? He couldn't handle the blitz, now teams stopped blitzing because Jalen is burning teams when they do. He can't pass in the middle of the field, it's not where he passes the most, but has shown he can when it's needed. His passing percentage has been about 70% through the whole season. 💯 We went 10-0 and then lost 1 before the bye based on pure talent with the OL, Hurts throwing, A.J, Smitty, and Goedert catching and Swift getting some too despite the fact the OC and DC sucked! TBH, I think the players had a team meeting without the coaches and pretty much decided to discreetly tank the season just so they could get rid of the coordinators because they know how Jeffery Lurie operates on the, "you don't win you're outta here" philosophy. If they had gone to the SB and won or lost, there's noooo way the coordinators get fired. No one in their right mind would fire the crew who got them to the big game in their 1st year of coordinating. The 2 of them were so bad that the players decided there was no way they were going to be stuck working with them for the next 2-3 years.
