Mahomes lost to Brady head to head in The AFC championship game in KC . The question is not who is better at this point in time , In his first four years starting Brady won Super Bowls in three of his first four years . The key is health , Brady never misses a game and is in better shape now than he was in his early days . Mahomes is the best player at his age I have ever seen but is he clutch ? That remains to be seen . It will be interesting to see him with no weapons since he is the highest paid player in NFL history and in a salary cap league that means you can’t re sign most of your key players when their team friendly contracts are up . No one knows the future but I suspect that Mahomes will be able to feed his family no matter how well he does . If Brady loses this year and doesn't get back there his legacy will be much easier to overcome, mainly because of the sport he plays. Jordan played both sides of the ball, Brady can't. Also his defenses were always tops in the league and he won super bowls with paltry offenses. Now winning 5 super bowls will be nearly impossible these days, but if it happens with Mahomes he will be in the conversation for sure.

@@Paul.Burrell I think on the low a lot of people really don’t think Brady is the GOAT. Had Rodgers won last week and end up with another Suoer Bowl or 2 you will have a strong amount of people saying he is better than Brady. I even think if Brees gets another Super Bowl there would be people pushing for him being better for Brady. I think It’s comes down that Brady always had teammates step up for him always, his defense and his receivers made played for him. Manning played with HOF WRs that didn’t step up at times. At the end of the day I agree with you on that Brady legacy is easier to catch or surpass in most people eyes

@@austinburwell5834 Yeah, I'm not a Brady fan and I was from the camp that thought he's more a product of Belichick than the other way around, but he shut me up this year. It's hard to argue against his wins and the media fawns over him so much that it's gonna take alot for someone to surpass him in their eyes. Rings are hard to argue even if the player with the rings isn't necessarily the best. It's like Time Duncan is considered the best PF but I always felt Garnett was better individually. But the rings trump everything in these debates for the most part. IMO, Lebron isn't as good as even Kobe but he has the stats and longevity, and he has the media pushing his narrative. The media plays a huge role in how these athletes are perceived, and if they don't want Brady's legacy to be surpassed they will find ways to protect it. If Mahomes gets 4 rings in the next 6 years, he will probably surpass Brady, because he's seen as a greater thrower of the ball.
