I feel like he was maybe a bit underrated at the Toon. He was very well liked, but probably didn’t get as much credit as his performances deserved. I suppose part of it was down to his position and being in a team with a few flair players who were likely to get the headlines. He was always dependable and solid though. Loved seeing him win the league with Leicester.

Bigger achievements lads, come on - Nottingham Forest - promoted Division 2 to Division 1 - 1977. WON Division 1 - 1978. WON Champions League/European Cup - 1979. WON Champions League/European Cup - 1980. Greece - European Champions 2004. Both bigger than Leicester City's win in 2016 for me.

My offering to the greatest ever football achievement is Nottingham Forest's league title then two European cup triumphs,,that after coming from the then division two a few years prior,,

Great, but not a patch on Leicester. Football was very different pre-Premier league and the financial disparity was nothing like it is today. Forest were able to pay top dollar for players in the 70s and break or get close to record fees. They were also able to sign numerous established internationals instantly or within a couple of years of coming up, e.g. Shilton, Francis, Gray and Larry Lloyd. That'd be like Forest signing the likes of Courtois and Saka today. There were other teams back then that came up and quickly challenged for and won leagues e.g. Ipswich, Liverpool, Leeds, Derby, City. Nobody today has or will come close to repeating what Leicester did.
