A buddy convinced me to buy this hero mech during the sale not too long ago. I can easily say I do not regret it whatsoever. The Urbanmech-K9 is a beast on the battlefield. With insane armor quirks, and hitboxes so small people tend to ignore, you can really be a thorn in one's side with this thing. I'm packing an LB10 and 5 small lasers. CQB is this build's bread and butter, and it helps when you have teammates with you on the brawl. (but its not a necessity....) This match I end up doing exactly 999 damage, and live through a situation that surely would've lead to the destruction of any other mech, including the beefiest of assaults. This mech's size and speed really helped when it came to taking enemy fire as my opponents missed their shots a lot of the time.
MechWarrior online is a free to play (F2P) Player vs. Player (PvP) game where you pilot gigantic Battlemechs with massively destructive weaponry. Most gameplay is centered around the 12 vs 12 quickplay format with no respawns, but there are other game modes such as Faction Play where your aim is to raid the enemy base and destroy 4 waves (respawns) of the opposition. There is also the 1v1 Solaris7 game mode that nobody ever plays, but is a fun time when you just want to drop in and fight your friends and still get some c-bills out of it.
There are some purchases to make with real money in game such as Hero mechs and premium time, but the game often has events that let F2P players get plenty of premium content.
