This was a fun metal-detecting adventure Mike and I recently took. Please check out Patrick's (hunt host) KZbin channel if you get the chance. He has his version of this hunt already uploaded. Patrick's videos are heavy on both the metal detecting and the history of the sites. You can find him here: www.youtube.com/@StoriesFromTheSignal/videos

I have been watching Sorts from 'Stories from the Signal', it is a good channel and looks at detecting from a different perspective. The was a good hunt albeit muddy

@@Daniel-gi3jo Really? Over 1800 videos, 1.14m subscribers. Quite a little "following". He deserves to be on that pedestal! So many years, expenses, and sharing of knowledge. You get to watch all that for free. Give us a couple of examples where he dislikes being shown up. Yeah, he "came into KZbin" and has more than a few "following". Why the resentment? What's your beef?

I've never met Beau (really wish I could). But all you have to do is read all the comments from those Beau has supported over all these years. He has helped some of us get through traumatic life events. Some have lost someone close, have a terminal illness, disability, or need a friend. You haven't been paying attention if you aren't aware of all the good he does. He is one of the most empathetic, kind and loved KZbinrs I know. He's earned his place on any pedestal.

Will probably never be "first"! But I will always appreciate what you share. I didn't understand why you bothered showing us the process as you exposed another treasure to the light. It didn't take me long (for an old guy) to realize how much I appreciated watching you go through the process, from the initial "beep" to the unveiling. It's just one of the reasons Aquachigger is more than a step above the rest. I find it boring when I see a video of an "exposed artifact". I'm never sure how real their findings are compared to you. I didn't even realize I missed your digging in the dirt. Keep on digging! Thanks for all your hard work.

If you’re never the first comment on one of his videos, you’ll be just fine lol Agree with all your comments though!

@@danielhova7826 I've never really worried about being first. I just look forward to his videos and it's usually close to the time of day when I'm ready to relax, imbibe, and find a little snack. I've been watching for a couple of years but only subscribed about a year ago. There are many that have gone before me, watched much longer, and maybe have even met him. I appreciate how kind he is and how so many have used his videos to provide a little escapism. We can forget a bad day, a loss, or pain as he takes us on another adventure. I would be floored if I was ever "first" or even close.

Good to see you back on the hunt in your more local area. I enjoy your land and water hunts. I have been waiting for the snow to clear here in Nova Scotia so I can try out a new detector on some local cellars. Been watching a local guy to try to get some tips on bottle digging. He is in our neighboring province of New Brunswick and has an excellent channel called Travelling Bottle Digger. I made the bottle probe you showed in one of your early videos - just need the ground to thaw so I can try it.

I'd be curious to see what gear you all take on each type of expedition. I used to do stuff like this as a kid ALL the time, aka all sorts of adventures. May make an interesting video or a couple of em on its own (just covering gear) in Winter during the time you can't be out filming and aren't roaming about. Wished I owned some land and would let you look. Sadly I am not there yet in life. Be well Aqua! PS Did they ever find that Kara Cox lady out in SW? I never heard much more on her. So sad.
