In response to the opinions on companies, I'd just like to add that sometimes it's not about where a dancer wants to work . We need to remember that a dance company is just like any other company. They hire based on need and a "good fit" and it's sometimes not even how *good* you are... they have budgets. There are so many good dancers around that are still looking for jobs, and new ones coming up each year. Joy has been able to dance many leading roles at a very young age....something she may not have been able to do in a bigger Company...Not to mention the wonderful private coaching with her teacher Zhanna. To be able to have those opportunities, she has chosen to sacrifice being far away from her family. Nothing is forever and when she's ready she'll move to the place that feels right for her. It's good to remember that the grass is not always greener. :)

Do you feel you are overtraining in inferior conditions? If yes do you have any say in the process? After watching your "what you eat" blog i ended up feeling that it was kinda meager. Do you work with a nutrition specialist and talk to your parents who seem to be experts in sport recovery and nutrition? Best of luck and God's help.

New York looks FABULOUS! Is there really no possibility of working there, or elsewhere in the US? You now have lots of experience and goodness knows your training with the Bolshoi was the best possible. There must be opportunities for you in lots of places - including Europe and the rest of the English speaking world - where you'd be in a much happier and healthier environment? You're obviously a very strong person to have survived all the adversity that you have - you've definitely got what it takes to start again wherever opportunity and choice present themselves. Seriously!

DMSO is a great topical that goes deep into the tissues, it's known to heal bursitis after 30 days of use, it will cut the healing time of a sprain by more than half the time. Ask your therapist about it. We also use it on horses with great results. Speedy recovery to you!!!

Erica....Joy should check this out with her mother. Over many, many years I have heard from arthrits sufferers and athletes about it's great results. The bad smell issue is true and don't know how to deal with that.

This company has a very pure 99.99% Dimethyl Sulfoxide(DMSO)www.apricotsfromgod.info or call (800)395-7379. :) I also buy it at the horse feed store as it is cheapest there in a roll on container. It's makes it easier that way. Make sure when you sure it that the area you apply it on is very clean as it will go right through the skin and into the blood. It has also been known to reverse a stroke by taking orally every 15 mins to break up the blood clot. It's truly amazing stuff, with no side effects at all(except for a garlic order). It is a natural remedy. :) Love your videos so much!!!!

You know the smell does not last too long. It's still worth using. I use it on my right hand with arthrits and it's helps like nothing else does. It's a must in any medicine cabinet. :)

Should be able to get it in Moscow for way less money because of the low ruble. BTW a less pure type of dmso is used by animal vets to deal with horses severe leg cramps. PS ask your mom and dad.

doesn't ABT do open auditions? Obviously NYCB is out as they don't and you aren't Balanchine trained. But ABT has some Russian trained dancers.

Dear Joy, I hope that you have a speedy and complete recovery from your injury. Can I hope that you had a meaningful time with your family, injury aside? As to working in NYC, is it possible to audition with the different companies? Surely someone will want you with your grace, skill, work ethic, and team spirit! By the way, although I only know it as a tourist, I also like Moscow for its variety and its arts scene. Repeated hopes that your injury heals fully and quickly.

Hi, I don't know how the ballet world works in terms of employment, but what exactly is stopping you from working in/moving to NY? I mean you are an exceptional dancer, it's hard to imagine that the NYCBallet wouldn't welcome you with arms open! and you seemed so much happier the last time you were there compared to the russian daily vlogs..xx
@pantalaimon19827 жыл бұрын
New York City Ballet wouldn't be an option, but I'm sure there are many companies that would take her. I think that Joy has said before that she admires Russian ballet most, and that she doesn't want to spend her best dancing days in the corps de ballet. I think she said the US system has too much of a hierarchy, and that she wants to advance quickly, which the Russian system allows. Maybe another European company would work. I'm another fan of Joy who wishes that she would leave Russia.
@nicklagunoff61097 жыл бұрын
Why do you wish for Joy to leave Russia?
@nicklagunoff61097 жыл бұрын
Molly......What do you think of Joy's chemistry with Misha. her teacher Janna, friends like Alvin, Masha Beck, violinist Bagdanova, her massage therapist, etc, etc. What about her relationship with the city of Moscow and her apartment that would cost $3,000 at least in NYC. A lot of these move suggestions are based on peoples dislike of Russia and not the reality of what awaits her somewhere else. Look before you leap.

Molly I am terribly, terribly sorry as my reply was meant for Pantalaimon.
