Did she just say that "since hes been getting into trouble since he was 11 yrs old, we figured we would just call dr.phil if all else fails"? So you were just gonna let it get bad enough for the doc to take care of it for you?
@AshDub864 жыл бұрын
I'm glad I'm not the only one who was thinking that. I literally did a double-take when she said that. 😳 Like, WTF? I mean, what if they ended up not being selected to be on the show? Didn't even sound like they had much of a back-up plan for what to do if they weren't selected to be guests on the show. Seems like they were just completely taking for granted the fact that they would be able to just call up the Doctor Phil Show and he would just fix their kid for them.

For real. A lottery chance was their last resort. Should've been their first. I didnt see whatever this kid did but ima go out on a limb here and say he probably didnt have too bright of a future without some kind of intervention.

I do think putting your child in front of a tv show that everyone could see would have a huge drawback. Like all your relatives, friends and etc will look at you differently. Having Dr.phil as a last resort isn't a smart idea but it certainly shouldn't be your first either.

It was not the right choice. That kid might not have been exemplary but he was visibly extremely scared. And he had plenty reasons, hundreds of children die in abusive therapy camps each year, he must have known since he kept screaming about how he was going to die. Forcefully kidnapping and taking him there in the middle of the night was the worst thing anyone could have done for him. I don’t understand how anyone can be that cruel, that was not a thing anyone should go through regardless of how problematic they are.

Do u know how bitter that makes a kid? Also u should read about those 'treatment' centers for kids in isolated areas. At least jails have state and federal guidelines, cameras everywhere, proper medical and psych. These places are private businesses they don't need to answer to anyone. And, they are often strategically placed in certain states depending on what laws they want to break and bend. I just don't get your point because like I said they are both the same, shitty, scary, effed up, abusive, gross, and possibly very dangerous detention facilities, only difference being that jail has some accountability. There is also a high prevalence of sexual abuse and molestation as well as reckless negligence, torture, and verbal degradation. The point is to break you completely so that they can make you into whoever they feel like. Places like these are all about forming trauma bonds and losing your identity. I hope the kido escapes. I
