Got a good laugh at Ernie walking in his boots. Looked like my cat walking along very wet paths. Thank you for another lovely video. We are meant to be in late spring! Still having a small fire some evenings as the temps drop into the low single digits. And rain! Of cause.

Hi there, he's getting better at walking in them now but bless him he still sticks his legs out all over the place 🤣 he just gets so muddy and wet on the tow paths and where his fur is long it never dries properly so can cause him sore paws. 😀

Gosh you can moor at that big shopping centre, ideal to do a big food shop or buy any essentials or Ernie's food supplies. Has Paul not realised that you are the boss and must obey when you say stop for shopping hehehe. Great commentary re the sheep having a bit of argy bargy with their head-butting to decide who was the boss for the day 🙂 I hope your winter is not going to be cold for you... might need to get more wood on board... we are in Spring heading towards Summer... and best it be a hot summer this year... after last year it rained for over a year and even thru our summer!!!.*

Well when i saw Ernie with those boots on I nearly wet myself laughing, It looked like Paul on the dance floor haha :) You made the right choice stay away from rivers this time of year they can flash flood so quickly. I can tell you a story about bridge 170!! It’s up all week apart from a Sunday when the local shoot is on…. We came through on a Sunday… think that was a week before we see you….. i was sent out to lift it… the thing would not move and some kind boater lifted for me 😂 I’d not had my weetabix that day 😂

This may be possible 😉 I was actually thinking about this the other day as we do tend to move quite a bit and sometimes I cut a lot of the journey out just to squeeze into a week..we shall see as over winter we may not move as much and then would have shot ourselves in the foot by promising 2 weeks worth but it is something I'm thinking about so maybe 😉

How do you keep Ernie clean after muddy walks on the tow path. We've got a Goldendoodle about the same size and we'd love to have some boat life, but the Misses MUST have a clean dog. 😀 Some "dog on a boat" content would be lovely please. What do you do for a vet, etc? Keep posting, big love, Toby, Lue & Chewie. x

Hi there Tony, Lue and Chewie the golden Doodle. We have lots of old dog towels onboard. So he wipe him down after walks and now he has his little boots that keep the majority of the mud getting into his paws so he remains fairly clean. A quick brush every other evening gets any left dried mud out. As with your Goldendoodle, Ernie does require grooming and a coat trim which I do myself with dog grooming clippers. We are still registered at our vets near our house (which we rent out) so we take him there for his yearly vaccinations and we get 6mnths flea and tick treatment each time as well. With regards to anything else, or the need of an emergency vet we would find one that is near us wherever we are. Ernie also has waterproof coats too to help keep mud and rain at bay. To be honest, it's really not a problem at all and hope it doesn't stop you having some boat life. The whole boatlife pluses far outway the odd muddy paw print on deck. 😀

So whats the winter plans bermuda barbados ?LOL Ernie looked very dapper in his coat and booties Buddy has about a dozen or so coats now but the little sod hates boots had to donate them to local charity loving the vlogs cheers ps nice to see paul back on the tools !

I wish they were our winter plans, you'll find out our less exotic winter plans real soon 😉 I've just ordered Ernie some more boots, so he has a choice 😂 he doesn't mind them although it takes him a while to get used to them everytime we put them on him. 😀
