Unexpectedly awesome ! Air Scoop by Stillen Installed 2019+ Silverado

Love mine. Fitment was a tad off, but not enough to hinder installation. Just takes patience to align. No noticeable sound or power gain, but definitely better throttle response. I live in the PNW and have no issues with water getting into the intake. Bugs,leaves, and other debris don’t seem to be an issue either.

On the fence about the trans cooler. But I've done most of the mods you have and I can't complain. The resonator delete is a must. No real performance gain but man does it sound good. Didn't know about this one though. Just ordered it. Thanks and keep the videos coming.

PPE just told me they are going to have an intercooler hitting the market for the 3.0 Duramax at the SEMA convention. 10-10-22 was told this news by Charles @ PPE.

What’s your normal engine temperature running at? Mine is always over 210 I’ve seen on the I dash up to 236, but drops quickly after that.

Different years get different temps, oddly enough. This 2023 LZ0 is the lowest temps I have seen and typically 200 to 230. The Engine Oil Temp is often real high at 230-250

Bro do you use a diesel fuel additive like Stanadyne? This is my first diesel and some buddies of mine recommended Stanadyne to help when using ultra low sulfur fuel.

What would your opinion being this with S&b? Obviously that air box pulls a lot air by the fender and near the head light, but forcing cooler air into that box!? I also would like your opinion on doing the 4in exhaust with all these mods. I just hauled my 5k lb trailer and was seeing 1000+ degree exhaust temps at 65mph. Curious if the exhaust would have some benefit seeing I’m literally running all the same stuff as you except I’m still running the full S&b.

I think the S&B may be happier with this piece. I think the reasoning is because of the cooler air entering now. The S&B box pulls a lot of underhood air.

@@DemonWorks well I can tell you it seems much happier. I put the side plug back in so it wasn’t pulling in so much hot air. I’ve also added a couple other goodies that I’m impressed with. I added the ppe 4in exhaust but I cut mine and dumped it over the axle because I had the dual exhaust as well. Then I got deep into KZbin and got ver curious about turbo blankets. And with a little modification I got a 20$ one from Amazon and….. well. There is a difference. Under hood temps are down. Egt stay a little lower and my acceleration is something to brag about. I know non of these are any hp makers maybe they are but, my butt dyno is very happy so far.

I already have the S&B intake and am thinking about this. Any worries about driving in heavy rain? Do you think the air box would get wet?

AFE makes aluminum hot and cold charge pipes but its for the 2021 LM2. I wonder if it will fit?? Those would look great all together

they would fit but they are more expensive than the PPE ones I have and I don't see them having any additional gain.

Did anyone notice any "whoosh" sound revving from 2200-2700 RPM and lifting after installing this? Kind of sounds like a blow off, but not as strong. Also, I seem to be able to hear air being drawn in between 1500-1900RPM There is an immediate notice in response on my '24 LZO Sierra

No different than stock. Yes, they can get in there but it's quite a path to travel to do so.

The stillen air scoop does. S&B intake fits the LZ0 but I had an issue where the truck couldn't complete a regen while it was installed. So I removed it and no issues since.

Just order mine directly from Stillen. Ordered it on Friday, 08-10-2024, and shipped out the same day. Per UPS I will receive it next Thursday. $205 plus $30 shipping. Ordered it directly from Stillen so if there was a problem I would deal directly with the manufacture!
