About the ghosts in Red Mountain: According to one of SADX's missions, they're souls trapped in hell, which I think it's funny considering Red Mountain is part of Angel Island, the outside part is the exterior of Lava Reef and the inside part is a small part inside of Lava Reef but in a different location from the Sonic 3 & Knuckles (and Sonic Mania) Lava Reef Zone About Tails Doll: He is probably moved by the power of his antenna he has on his head, in the Archie Comics that antenna was represented as a gemstone that transformed Tails Doll into an ugly demon (what they did to by boy?) But in the games he is just an Eggman robot (plushie) made to distract Sonic that has an antenna on his head, and also they added a camera to his eyes as a spy robot in IDW (which is canon to the games), that idea may be inspired by the Archie Reboot (at least I think it was the reboot, I don't remember) since in there Tails Doll was a spy robot made by Eggman About the Sonic CD Screen: Sonic's face on that screen has nothing to do with Mario, that face is from the creator of that screen, Masato Nishimura (better known as Majin/Mazin), he created that screen as a fun easter egg, just like the other secret screens created by other devs that you can access in Sonic CD's Sound Test like the cute Sonic, the batman Sonic, Tails saying "See you in the next game", etc. "Why the creepy music?" As you pointed out in the video, the music on the JP version is a lot more upbeat, and that's the song that played originally on that screen, the screen was supposed to be a fun easter egg as I said, the message is literally just saying that the fun is endless with SEGA and Sonic's games "Why the face is so creepy?" Cool video you made, although you completely missed some spots I’d like to clear up for a better understanding: About the UFOs in Marble zone, during Sonic 1’s development, they originally planned to have the story being set up in some sort of a Fantasy world, the UFOs being the remains of that idea, in fact, Green Hill is the only fully realized zone from the fantasy world setting. The Majin/Mazin screen was already debunked as an attempt for antipiracy. Later reused as something to troll players. The name signed is Masato Nishimura’s nickname. there is a lot of take-aways you can get from the aquatic mine itself. for example the miners probably had the mine flood on purpose because the switches were already there, AND that is the place where you get the air necklace. my theory is that the mines were connected to the sewer system because that was where the first sign of whatever they were mining for originated from, maybe a porous material that floats upward which is why the miners needed the water/flooding system. could be the crystals that make up the chaos drives considering how they are housed and float as a result of the energy they give off. As to why you can't see the entities that resemble prisoners... perhaps E102 as a robo cannot see them. the e100 series were not good at sensing chaos energy and were all convinced they had gotten the right frog, so the entities may have a similar wavelength.

I think there was also a weird mystery in the 8-bit Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (Game Gear/Master System), where, in Sky High Zone Act 1, you had to go to this hidden area on the left side of the stage that had a 1-up monitor. You jump over it and approach it from the left, and then you'll see these tiny chicks that will come out of the trees. However, if you break the 1-up monitor, no more chicks will appear. Very strange easter egg, not sure if it's in the Sega Master System version (maybe it is? Since the GG and SMS versions are the exact same, only the GG version has a MUCH smaller screen, so you have to take a lot of leaps of faith), but it is in the GG version. The "Image by Majin" thing has been explained for years. The picture was drawn by Sega artist Masato Hirano, and is just him putting his own face on Sonic's body, which just looks unintentionally creepy in the pixelated rendering. The signature is not actually "Majin", but "Madin" which was Masato Hirano's childhood nickname and the code you enter to see the image (46 12 25) is his date of birth backwards (25th December 1946) As for why the music is different in the US version, the truth to that is very simple: part of an article about Sonic's history included with the 2003 Prima strategy guide for Sonic advance 2, read: "at the time, Sega of America had built a high budget recording studio to complement their first push into CD audio on the then-new CD platform and probably deemed it necessary to get some bang for their buck. Thus Sonic CD's OST was reorchestrated for its US release."

I think I know some of these. Tails doll was a much design by Robotnik to be creepy, which would make Sonic lose the race. Sonic.exe isn't real. America is kind of known for preferring hard-core spooky stuff, hence the music change. Mazin was a nickname for a developer in Sonic CD and that is his face and message. The Ghosts are ghosts, just your average ghost, people die all the time. Sonic.exe isn't real. The cope tile thing is something to do with what the game was made on, from what I've heard (or they're telling you to deal with it). The Pumpkin Hill rocks may have bonfires if people live there. Sonic.exe isn't real.

Sonic does not care to give some dark ass things like the tails doll. (I absolutely love that mystery by the way, what are my favorite creepy pastas and favorite character in general, despite having no history to it) also, majin sonic was just something made by the Dev of the game and people find it unsettling and I can understand why it was just weird

Yes, and the bossfight music that played was supposed to be more fun in the Japanese version and not just plain creepy. But since Sega of America would replace the music for the bossfight when they didn’t know that that screen was there, they unwittingly shifted the tone from a light-hearted ester egg to nightmare fuel. This is also supported by the fact that Sonic CD’s present and future themes were different in the American release while their past themes remain the same, their past themes used sequenced PCM audio (hard coded into the game) so it would sound “older” and was deemed too difficult to replace unless they went to Sega of Japan themselves. Edit: there are also rumours that Sega of America made these changed behind the original developers’ backs so it’s a possible explanation on why they weren’t informed about the “fun is infinite” screen, and why they couldn’t replace the past OSTs for the game.

And I think the UFO in marble zone were either saturns , the special stages since blue can represent the sky and the green is probably the weirdest transforming animals and aquatic mines is haunted and it got flooded by what I assume someone mining too deep
