@@israel_started_it_ALL_in_1948 ok, I see... You are a clown 👍 KB just lost to Jan in the last PTO race. But he is so much better? Let's see how KB gets rolled over on the test event. He won't win Paris next year. Mark my words. Besides, do you even realise that higher age and short courses are an issue? Have you ANY idea what it means that Jan won the US Open with almost 42? Peak Jan would have destroyed KB in middle & long distance races again and again.

Out of all the personalities KB and Gustav have to be the most entertaining and likeable triathletes, they have a funny goofy child like personality to them. Sam and Lionel seem to be the most relatable where they show the raw emotion and ups and downs that come with the sport. Jan is likeable to me only because he's the GOAT but he also has that cold business only personality.

@@onepunchbud1472 just the GOAT mythers... Jan was / is very good, long course only. Never GOAT at anything. He was the first to Oly gold medal and IM world title but separated by many years and with focus on one distance only, and during slower eras. He also had the fastest Kona and fastest ever IM time for a while. This amounted to GOAT for some. All those feats are gone now except being the first to do something, which others have since done, and better, and in faster eras.

@@israel_started_it_ALL_in_1948 I actually agree that Goat is a massively overused term. Considering others like Dave, Marc and even Alistair I would say Jan was the best over a period of time. Like others. The best overall is debatable, probably not. But one legend currently racing and still winning - yes. But one thing is sure - KB is definitely no Goat . Currently he is not the best in the short course, is not winning PTO races and did not win Kona. He was lucky Vincent Luis had health issues before the last Olympics. He won St. George 70.3 and long distance last year but yeah... Not unbeatable for sure. His world record was a joke, that's why it was good that Magnus got it. KB needs to have some more good years of racing to show he was not only dominating the scenes for 2 years.

@@onepunchbud1472 *Marc* ?? Thanks, Yawn Frohdino. FFS dude. Let me welcome you to the sport of triathlon, Marc: Jan GOAT? Don't disrespect our sport. Only two have been able to cross over all distances in a season and be at the top. Jan is not one of them. Having crossover talent (especially in KB’s record setting era) is MAGNITUDES more difficult than focusing on a distance for years, uninterrupted. Even if Jan goes out beating KB in head to head matchups (right now they are 1 -1 ), he won't be GOAT. He is not even top 2. Jan is a generational, long course athlete only. He was never a generational short course athlete (Ali / Gomez). He’s not the best ever at long course either (MA / DS) or at any distance. Or all distances combined (KB then MA). But Jan has no time records left. He has nothing except being the first to Oly and IM world title. Being the first is not being the best. Carl Lewis is not better than Usain Bolt because you REALLY like him. Beijing was a fluke win for Jan in a sprint. Many the pros saying post race (Jackson Laundry, Joe Skipper, Marc Dubric and others), why wasn't Jan DQ'd for getting outside help? You didn't show Jan handing his gear to a person outside transition, not putting in his box. It's in the full race replay. Double standards at play for the "goat". Outside help is not allowed in our sport. Jason West is your winner folks. PTO: let's have a fair playing field. You just cost Jason West a TON of money for not enforcing rules.
