I think Pike's interactions with Grog are some of the best parts of this whole series. She never talks down to him like he's stupid, she's very patient when trying to convince him to do/not to do something, and you can tell how much they love each other. I've never seen Grog listen so attentively to anyone as he does when Pike is talking to him.

And in a lot of interactions between them, Grog acts like a child, like, literally, not in a demeaning way. Always turning to her for help and support. The "i'm really embarassed" while he (in some way that in game would be impossible) hides behind her is always really sweet, like a kid searching for support from his mom. Grog and Pike is tops friendship in the two campaings, only Nott and Caleb comes closer, a closer second.

It's impressive for sure but story wise, it would've been great for Tary to leave in previous episode, especially with him finishing his character arc. It would be perfect resolution for Tary. Instead we got this episode with Tary, where I just feel bad for him. Matt should've really given it more time and Tary teary departure would be great ending to the previous episode and arc as a whole. Instead probably because of the guest, Scanlan's return plotline got pushed forward and Tary got shafted. (Not only without his arc but also, as great of a job Sam did, he did focus on Scanlan during those episodes.) Hopefully we do get some sort of better ending for him than "just saying goodbye" but the perfect time to say goodbye to Tary has already passed. Two intact, after his arc would've been great, and at start of this ep would be fine too.

The dynamic between Lionel and Grog is almost perfect. The hurt feelings of Grog in which he is thinking that Lionel replaced him in Scanlan's eyes and that he can't seem deal with Lionel's coincidental impression on Grog, while Lionel is just innocently wanting to have fun and getting to horse around with him since he doesn't normally get to do that with someone. They should be buddies, but hilariously it's the opposite. The part where Grog was trying to impress Scanlan, in which he and Pike where destroying the undead, ended in Grog unable to kill an undead with one strike and feeling down that he failed to impress Scanlan, while without skipping a beat, Lionel came out wanting to have fun and to try and impress Grog, and instead flawlessly annihilated two undead, one roll for each, with both being near maximum damage crits! AND THEN the two natural ones that Grog rolled right after that had perfectly embarrassed Grog! Oh man, fate really wanted this moment to be as ironic as possible and I loved it so much!

I know im way behind, but for everybody wondering : With the End of this Episode we had 323.716 Hours of laughing, crying etc with the awesome cast of Vox Machina That means 13.489 full Days all perfectly tied in to a big Story by amazing Matt. (All Figures Based on the Podcast times (Podbean) to get just the Story and no breaks etc. into account) It took me 155 Days to get to this point aka 2 hours a day. It may be weird to calculate all this but Critical Role is one of the few things that can calm me down and make me get through a day. And they already did this for 155 days. If Anybody ever reads this: Thank you for all your time and effort you put into this and thanks for sharing all your emotions with us.
